The lake, breakfast, and of course the spa

separated mattraces on one bed were moving a lot, one of apples in the room was rotten

The hotel is very central location of Ilsenburg with a lot of hiking and walking paths. The staff was very kind, caring and helpful. The rooms are quite large as well as clean and well equipped with any amenities.

The spa area is quite old and not renovated, actually we expected more for the worth of the money. Unfortunately during our 3rd day of stay, I was tested covid positive and we decided to drive back home not to risk anyone at the hotel where there are a lot of elderly people. The hotel told us that they could have offered a voucher for the 3rd day unless the booking would have been made through hotel's website but not from Booking.com. Therefore, we had to pay the full amount of that day (265 euro) We communicated this issue with the Booking.com by expecting a positive outcome however the customer support was informed by the hotel reception that there was no communication about the voucher at all! Considering a loyal customer of Booking.com, we were expecting that they could take some liability for the satisfaction of their customers and provide a voucher on behalf of the hotel but it seems they do not care that much either. So, therefore we have decided to minimize our activities through Booking.com and look for other alternatives as well as websites of the hotels.

Excellent location by the lakeside. The rooms were comfortable. But the absence of fans an d ACs in the room was uncomfortable in this hot weather.

Staffs are all kind and friendly, always available to the guests Terrace is in front of lake which is gorgeous, perfect breakfast place.
