Room was a little dated but clean, comfortable and well-appointed with everything needed for my stay. Lena (the owner/manager) was lovely. Given the location (just a few minutes walk from Torquay harbour front) the property offers good value for money and is a great base for exploring the local area.

My wife and I spent 3 enjoyable nights here to celebrate her Birthday. Lena was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was a shame that due to illness, Breakfast could not be served but Lena ensured we were reimbursed with enough to enjoy Breakfasts in town. I stayed here many many years ago and it has retained all of it's charm. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return when we are next staying in the area.

Was not a problem for me but travellers with mobility issues might find the stairs and access a bit of a challenge. Website did not make it crystal clear that this 'bed and breakfast' does not serve breakfast. Old reviews give the impression that one can 'opt I'm to breakfast.

Loading bags slightly difficult due to the hilly location(not the proprieter's fault at all, in fact she help carry down our bags) however great that we had use of the nearby carpark as part of the deal.

My stay at the Palms was excellent, really good location and fantastic view. The house itself is full of nice touches, really welcoming and the host was really friendly, helpful and sweet. Thank you for making our stay to feel like home! Definitely will be back! Andreea

Our stay at The Palms Guest House was so lovely. We couldn’t fault anything! It was so close to the Torquay Harbour which was very ideal. Lena the head woman, was an absolute lady. She couldn’t have been any more helpful than what she was. Will definitely be returning again at some point.
