Whatever pictures of the hotel you see on the web, cannot do the justice. One of the most beautiful, eccentric and romantic places we’ve ever stayed in (and we travel a lot)! Food and drinks were fantastic as well. 10 out of 10!

Absolutely beautiful Chalet located in a stunning location in the alps. I chose this to be the location where I proposed to my now fiancé and I am delighted to say that Chalet Al Foss made the occasion extremely special. An engagement is one of those life events in which you run the scenario through your head countless times before the big moment, and I can safely say that Chalet Al Foss made this moment more special than I could have ever imagined in my own thoughts. The rooms are stunning offering a balcony and a bath with a view looking over the alps and the experiences you can arrange are incredible including massages and breakfast with Alpacas; however, their best asset (which is saying something) is their staff, they are all so helpful and genuinely motivated to ensure that your trip goes according to plan. For example, our flight was hit by lightning and diverted to another airport and it seemed as if we would not make it in time, through their WhatsApp chat and a brief phone call they confirmed that should we not make it they would move our stay and all accommodatable experiences to the following two days. Luckily, in the end we did make it but for a hotel to go to such lengths is almost unheard of. To summarise, I imagine it will be a long time before we have an experience quite like it and we are both grateful to all the staff for the work they put into making it such a special day/ night. Chalet Al Foss are quite literally selling dreams, Thank you.

There was one miscommunication; however, giving the stay as a whole I did not contend it when settling the bill. Which should be taken as another positive.

We had the most amazing stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were welcomed to the hotel with a complimentary glasses of champagne. Room were cosy and clean, it was a little chilly at night. The infinity pool overlooking the mountains was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend everyone to book the in pool breakfast! The breakfast is ample and very tasty and you have the exclusive use of the pool for 1 hour.

The wasn’t anything we didn’t like, perhaps more main options on the dinner menus. Also be prepared for a 2 hour journey from Milan Bergamo to the resort.

The view

The hotel is very modern in the structure and design, breakfast served at the table is very nice and a plus instead of usual self-service buffet, dinner is excellent because the chef propose you unusual but extraordinary mesh-ups with seasonal ingredients. Alpacas are very very cute and a nice surprise! There is a Stube restaurant inside the hotel where you can eat local meals. Photos and videos from the right prospective are very cool as the mountains in the landscape are beautiful, so it is the ideal place for instagram and social passionates only!

The images, videos showed in the website of the hotel is very very far from reality: the hotel is in front of the mountain national street and in front of the parking, so all the rooms and pools of the hotel are directly in front of the street (the infinity pool is quite over it!) and the parking, so you always see cars passing away in the street or parked in front of you! In their website they never mention this!! The location so is not even likely the one you see in their videos! Furthermore the quality/price rate is absolutely negative: you pay a lot of more compared to the location and services sincerely! It is very very expensive as you have to pay a lot for almost everything and the experiences they propose to you are not as exclusive and wonderful as they want to sell to you, in fact you always have a street front and you have no privacy because especially in the week ends the hotel’s spa and pools are not so big to contain all the guest and the final effect is a messy even if you ask for their exclusive services that are in the nearby of all the other guests anyway ! Because of the street front of course you listen to the sounds of the cars passing away but the hotel diffuses disco music from the morning to the evening to cover them, so the atmosphere you expected to be quite and peaceful in the mountains with your partner doesn’t exist and it is transformed in a all day disco party with 20agers intagrammers all around! the guests are very young and interested only in taking photos from the right prospective (without the street front!!) in order to post them on instagram and feel cool while they are in reality in a pool over a street! I won’t come back in this place because you pay a lot to surprise your partner expecting a quite and exclusive super hotel in the mountains and you end to be disappointed!! No romance!!

We arrived at the hotel, the clerk at the reception tried to convince us to move to another room, with an additional price of course, the "upgraded" room was worse than the one we ordered. We decided to stay with the same room we booked. - There were insects in the room. - two safes in the room that didn't work, we asked several times for someone to come and activate them and they didn't come. - Lots of additional, illogical and excessive costs. Unfortunately, this is the first time that I have had to give a negative review to a hotel in Booking.com.
