Don't have many nice things to say about this accommodation. Pros : - the location was good. - the beach was close (and the beach was really nice)

When I entered the room I noticed there where 20 or more mosquitos inside. We asked the host for a solution to the mosquitos. Host said if we have issues with them to go buy spray / pills against them. Spent a extra 15 Euro on items to deal with them. And the items where not very efficient. There was no anti mosquito net in our room. Because of this we had to sleep with the balcony doors closed, and it was really hot and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. Also we could not cook inside because we where forced to keep the balcony doors closed. There was a issue with the shower as well. During 11:00 - 20:00 there was NO COLD WATER. Instead of Cold water, we had very warm water. Cold water would only work early in the morning and late night. The beds and the pillows where uncomfortable. I never managed to sleep more than 4-5h / day. It was pure pain. You can hear your neighbours talk thru the walls and they could hear you. Also on the balcony the neighbours can invade your privacy. The toilet does not flush properly. Each time you take a shower the bathroom floods. We only got one key for the room. Asked for 2, so we have one each, but the host said - you can only get one. The Freezer was really low quality. The check in for us was at 15:00, and the check out at 10:00. So lost 5 hours of our stay on this as well. Honestly Zakynthos was very nice, but this accommodation was awful, and it ruined the experience. I really regret that I went for the cheapest accommodation. No money saved can justify how bad it was.

Can't think of anything we didn't like

The hotel was situated near shops and restaurants. The bed sheets and towels were changed regularly. The host provided a place to leave baggage after checkout.

Upon arrival the host demanded payment in cash, even though the booking profile says they accept payment by card. We didn't bring enough cash to pay for the stay, so we had to use and ATM (which may be owned by their family as the shop close to it does). The ATM charge with all the fees came out to around 50€ over what the exchange rate was. That made a 400€ stay 450€. The start of our holiday was stressful and worried rather than relaxed and happy as it should have been. The host didn't see any problem with the extra money and could only say "ATM is cheap...", "impossible..." and such. That definitely ruined our opinion about their honesty and good intentions and also forced us to tighten the vacation budget. That alone makes me not recommend the hotel to anyone. The rooms were getting extremely hot as the blinds and doors are dark brown instead of white. The sun makes them too hot to even touch. All that heat radiates into the room and makes it hotter than the outside. The kettle inside the room is faulty and dangerous - it didn't turn itself off after boiling the water and before we realized it was almost burning. The WiFi was on the booking profile but it impossible to connect to half of the time. Even if you manage to connect it does not work. During a 10 day stay I didn't manage to load a single page on the internet. The lock on glass doors to the balcony didn't work.

For the price you have what you need and the location is good!

Everything was fine. The dogs barked sometimes, early in the morning.

It is close to the beach.

There are no mosquito nets on the doors and windows.
