An excellent and fabulous host. The place was in a great location, everything you'd imagine an Italian guest house to be. There's a great selection on wines you can buy to enjoy on the beautiful terrace too.

Giovanni and Stefania complete a wonderful experience. This is my 3rd stay at Locanda Il Maestrale and it/they never disappoint. The only reason I have not stayed there when in Monterosso, is that it is booked. The personal attention they share and the details offered (my friend was SO thrilled with their little ice machine!!), set them above and beyond the others. I hesitate to share a glowing review, because I know that is going to make my 7th visit even more of a challenge to reserve. :) Breakfast on the terrace is such a treat. Wine in the evening with the resident little rana is lovely and relaxing. The terrace offers a place to be at the hotel, but still enjoy the sites and sounds of Monterosso. I had a friend with me this visit, and am always a little nervous that my likes, are not someone else's. No need to worry here. She also gave a glowing review. Grazie mille Giovanni & Stefania! Giovanni and Stefania provide an amazing breakfast and the service, charm are fantastic. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit and pastries felt decadent....and the ability to sit on the charmingly appointed patio from where you can watch the town wake up is enchanting. A beautiful space through and through. Great hosts! They were great communicators about our changing reservation and very helpful in navigating the area.

Giovanni and Stefania were exceptional hosts. Kind an helpful telling us about the local area. They even gave us a water bottle for our hike so we didn't need to buy one at the shop. The venue was incredible with a fantastic terrace overlooking the old town. Fantastic breakfast. Finally we received a small gift from them for Easter Sunday which were local pottery serving bowls with Easter eggs which was a complete surprise and very generous.

Rooms were clean and beautiful. Breakfast was served on a terrace. Delicious and fresh fruit bowl, expresso, breads, pastries, eggs. Terrace overlooks the Main Street and is filled with beautiful plants and flowers. Wonderful experience.

There is nothing we did not like, would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast which is located in the center of town.

Very friendly and welcoming place to stay. The B&B was really comfortable and small. Breakfast was great, vey local and tasty with plenty of choice. There was a beach bag and towels included for us to use at the beach and the reception even booked us places on the beach. Would definitely stay again. Also in a great location not too far from the train station or the beach.

The 1700th century building has been transformed to luxury hotelrooms in which the right amount of energy tickles the senses. Really loved the interior design and the comfort of the room and service. Breakfast is superb as well.

The staff were exceptional. They were all very helpful, and anything we needed was provided with a smile. The location cannot be beat. The rooms are quiet and well-outfitted, and the terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. We will stay here again when we return to Monterosso.
