Old facility, no room service weekend

Very specious and clean room. Lot of utensils and there is even small kitchen in the hall so you can prepare yourself cup of tea or coffee. There is a fridge too so you can have your beer perfectly chilled. Super fast WiFi!

TV! So we had huge, probably 60" TV, which didn't have any TV channel. We tried to hook up our netflix and Apple TV but no luck. Really annoying since TV has option for this but apparently hotel management decided not to allow guests to use it.

Way too much noise from the street, especially since it was the weekend so real noise from the street below.

Located centrally on the main street in Akureyri, not a big town but it is still great to be staying right in the middle, a short walk from everywhere you'll be looking to visit! The room was - to my surprise - huge, with big windows that let lots of light in (and good curtains to keep it out at night), a really nice shower with shampoo and towels provided - and friendly staff on reception helping with check-in and check-out early in the morning! Felt like a 5 star stay, many thanks!

Bad experience

Terrible soundproofing in the room. You can hear the TV shown in the next room. My tv didn't even work, neither did the hair dryer. It was a Friday and the music was unbearably loud until midnight.

Well furnished rooms with full kitchenette, well-situated in central Akureyri, patient staff that allowed us to move our reservation at no extra cost after a storm delayed our arrival, quiet, room service available from connected bar/cafe.
