The situation of the villa is fantastic. It is a large building, although it is actually a semi-detached property as the next door is a derelict building, We liked the infinity pool, the outdoor spaces, the private beach. We enjoyed making use of the barbecue facilities. The main living space is enormous and the artwork was fun. We also liked the spaciousness of the bedrooms.

The poor housekeeping of this property and the lack of any form of communication once we arrived from the hosts are what were a let down of this property. We messaged several times over some issues. While most of the property was clean the dishwasher had clearly never ever been cleaned, it had visible "stalactites" of bacteria deposits and limescale. This meant that we did not trust the cleanliness of any of the cutlery and crockery and had to wash it by hand on our first night. The owner saw the message as they sent someone to attempt to clean the dishwasher, but there was no contact, or apology. We also pointed out problems with the electrics, bulbs blown, not working, entire bank of electrics in kitchen not working. The lights on the roof not working, and no pool lights working. There was broken chairs round the side of the property that hadn't been replaced, which mean there weren't enough outdoor dining chairs for the number of guests. These are all things that should be rectified by better housekeeping if you wanting to rent a property for holiday lets. You shouldn't expect guests to have to complain / deal with these issues. The property is advertised as a luxury villa, but it is not being kept to this standard, which is a shame.

The location is perfect if you like the nice and quiet family type of vacation. Actually, the whole Pomos area is like this. You need a car (as everywhere in Cyprus). Very good pool and easy approach to the sea. take a time and do some hiking (it starts right next to the house). You will enjoy views, almonds, figs and mangos (growing along your path). But wake up and go with the sun. Paradise beach is definitely worth visiting (however it is not so close as it is written in the description - look for parking and the modern square brown villa).

When you are paying this amount of money, you definitely don't expect to meet the cheap, hardly damaged teflon pans to cook on. Also, you don't expect that you will have to buy and refill the soap and the toilet paper. Towels should be replaced, long time ago. And the ants, small ants around the house in very unexpected areas (like your closet), so don't leave anything that might attract them, otherwise, they will come for it.
