Very good location,10'from glacier lagoon,very homie vibe and the hostess Cornilia amazing person ,very helpful and polite. Defently if i m around the in the future,i ll choose again Skyrhusid for my stay!

This hostel exceeded my expectations and was a wonderful base for 2 nights to explore the Vatnajokull area. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. Every was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was very well fitted out and had lovely touches like coffee, tea, juice and welcome cake! The manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were also lucky to be in the region for a couple of sunny, clear days so could make use of the picnic tables outside. I cannot recommend this highly enough!

Not a complaint as it didn't really impact us, just a note for travellers - his kitchen space is a little small and a peak times was rather crowded.

We liked the amazing staff. Andreas is very kind and helpful.

Showers had poor water stream.

Location is ideal to see the iceberg lagoon in the evening and again in the morning. Bed was comfortable.

There was no cake or skyr when we stayed there and we had counted on it for breakfast. Though I realize that it was the reviews that lead me to believe it would be provided and not the hostel itself. So maybe don’t count on it.

Staff was very helpful when we asked to have the tire pressure measured because of a flat tire the day before. Thanks for that.

Fantastic location fir activity comfortable and clean

Only ten minutes drive to the glacier. Very cozy and clean. Had a lovely feel. Good facilities and the Icelandic cake was delicious.
