Great location. Very clean. Well stocked.

This cottage was perfect for my 3 generation girl trip (teenage daughter, myself, and my mom). The cottage itself was adorable. Bright, cozy, and enough space for all of us. Everything was immaculate, and the linens/dishes were brand new. We used the kitchen well, cooking dinner a few nights. While the location was a 3 minute walk to town, the outdoor space still seemed private being set back from the road. The view out the kitchen window of the lake was a bonus. I honestly cannot say enough about this property. I even told my mom I could live here full-time.

The property was small but clean and had everything you needed. Our only issue was lack of shades on most windows. It made it difficult to rest during the long days of summer, and made it feel like a lack of privacy in kitchen.

I booked for 6 nights May 3-9 2023 for my first trip to the UP. The cottage was clean and tidy and much as described in the listing. It is next to a larger house owned by the same people and there is a shared backyard with a shared grill, not that the weather in first week of May was conducive to spending time outdoors grilling as there had been a big snowstorm on May 1. The reason I did not give 5 stars is that, despite comfortable double bed in the main bedroom, the gas heating was not a typical HVAC ducted system but a furnace in the living area with a directed fan to living room and kitchen which was pretty loud. After the first two nights, I got used to the noise. The owners specifically requested in the house rules not to use the electrical baseboard heaters. I would have preferred to have the electric heating included in the cost rather than lose sleep over the noise of the quirky old gas heater. Would I stay again - in warmer weather without their gas heating, yes.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a 4 night stay. (For us, any longer we would want to have a washer and dryer). The location is ideal for going to see/do the many things the UP has to offer… snow shoeing, ice caves, dog sledding, the falls, and snow mobiling. I highly recommend staying here!

Everything was setup beautifully by Lisa from the check-in process to check-out. She was always willing to help with anything, periodically checking-in with us. Best vacation we had so far in a very cozy cottage with all amenities.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cozy Cottage very much! It was very clean, decorated very nicely and the perfect landing spot to enjoy the area. We mostly hiked among the many trails in the Pictured Rocks National Recreation Area (outstanding!), but we enjoyed being able to walk into town and enjoy a couple of the local breweries. Definitely would book again!

The house is on a main street and, despite this being a small town, the traffic noise was very loud. The bed in the main bedroom was incredibly small. (We’re not big people, and we are very close, but it was still uncomfortably small). The bedroom windows don’t have blinds, so we had to hang towels over them. (They kept falling down, so we were regularly re-hanging them). And the owners were rude when we left.

The downtown Munising cottage was everything we needed including a great location. Within walking distance to the docks and restaurants and a short drive to waterfalls, trails and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is very cute in person. We travel with a husky and golden and were grateful that dogs were allowed. The beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our visit at this small cottage, which was perfect for our family of 3. We enjoyed the short walk to Dairy Queen and short drive to hikes in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!

Very clean and well appointed. Loved looking out the windows at the water. We also enjoyed the quick walk to get delicious pizza and ice cream. Great location and really enjoyed our stay!

we rented two houses and had a very large group. It could not have been more Perfect!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL homes within a block of Lake Superior. One of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time

This cottage was exactly as advertised. It was very clean and ready for our stay. Short walk to our boat cruise and restaurants in Munising. It was the perfect rental for my wife and I as we explored the UP.

This cottage was cute and just right for my husband and I. This was our first time staying in the UP and it was great!

My husband and I, and two of our adult children enjoyed three nights in this squeaky clean, adorably decorated cottage in the heart of Munising. This Dwntown Cottage is walking distance to restaurants, shops, coffee shops, ice cream, and Muldoon’s pasties! Also, just a short walk to Lake Superior, where we watched several beautiful sunsets. Pictured Rocks and other attractions are just a short drive away. (Watch speed limit!) All in all it was a great stay, our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!

The cottage was a great home base for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! It was the perfect size for the two of us, very comfortable with all the amenities we would need. The property manager was very communicative and we were even able to check in early. Loved the decor and all the little extras. The only negative was perhaps put a shade on the bedroom windows for those who don't want to rise with the sun or prefer a little privacy.

It is near to everything you would want to do in the downtown area including walking distance to the pictured rocks cruise dock. Lots of shops and restaurants to explore and all the many waterfalls and parks around Munising are within a quick drive. Beautiful beaches nearby too. .The location is perfect for quick drives to other locations, including Presque Isle, Marquette, Tahquamenon falls, and Escanaba, The cottage was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds and linens, dishes, pots and pans, furniture etc. Everything was well-maintained and perfect for our needs. I highly recommend this lovely cottage.

We wanted to experience the UP and this location and cabin was the perfect location. The cabin is stocked and its spotless. We couldn't have asked for a better location!

cottage was adorable and well supplied. Location great, lake view was minimal mostly sky over lake.

My husband and our dog visited the cozy cottage in January this year. It was the perfect home base for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing at Pictured Rocks! The hosts were very communicative, check-in/out was easy, and we appreciated that the cottage was dog-friendly. We would highly recommend!

Being empty nesters for the first time, my husband and I took a trip to Munising. Perfect little place for 2 people, everything was perfect. Close to everything, lots to do and see. The master bedroom’s mattress might need to be replaced. We loved it, will definitely visit again!

Great in Town Location, very nicely appointed home and very clean. Not a large house but comfortable for only 2 adults.

Really cute and unique little cottage, looks better than the pictures and we loved the beautiful landscaping and flowers. It's well maintained and was very clean upon arrival, was even ready a little early which we really appreciated. Lisa is a great host! The cottage location is perfect to use as a jumping point for exploring Pictured Rocks and the surrounding areas of the UP. Great beaches within short driving distance, and plenty of good take out food options within walking distance. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area. It is in a shared yard and in the view of a larger rental house, so that is something to be aware of if you are expecting seclusion. We were mostly out exploring and so it wasn't a problem for us, but depending on how many people and cars are staying there it can feel a little crowded. Overall, worked well for us (4 adults and 2 dogs) and we enjoyed our stay in Munising!
