It was exactly as advertised. Extremely unique!! The owner's made a concerted effort to respect my privacy--although unecessary, as they were the kindest folks. If I'd had the opportunity, I would've spent some time with them at a bon fire, but my work shcedule just wouldn't allow it. It was an extremely peaceful and comfortable stay and will definitely stay again when in that area!! Thank you Lee and Cathy!

My wife and our two dogs really enjoyed our long weekend at this most charming silo house. The hosts were amazing and made the whole process seamless. If you find your self in the Waxahachie area we recommend you consider this home.

Very relaxing.

The Silo House is unique but it’s also comfortable. The furniture is functional and there are great indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. Owners were on property while I was there but super respectful of privacy. I enjoyed my time and hope to visit again!

This property was very uniquely designed and decorated! We totally enjoyed the stay! The Silo House was very clean, comfortable bed and a really cool shower. The grounds were very nice, private and quiet. If you are looking for something different, this may be the place!

This home is charming, decorated in a really fun way. Very clean. Bed is comfortable, sheets and towels are high quality. The correspondence is directly with the owners and they are very quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area!

The silo was a fantastic experience and a great location. It had everything you needed for a fantastic weekend getaway. The property does need a little TLC but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Bed was to soft lol. Beethoven was a wonderful surprise and enjoyed and welcomed his evening visit (St. Bernard). He put the icing on the cake.

We stayed here for our wedding weekend and enjoyed every minute! The location is so peaceful, and the property is unique, well-thought out, and personal. Everything was wonderful!

We enjoyed sitting outside on the covered patio and seeing the beautiful field of wildflowers in May. Comfy bed and well-stocked with necessities.

The scenery it was awesome

I can't say enough good things about this property. The silo was clean, well decorated and had every amenity you could ever need, including wi-fi. The owners of the property were exceptionally nice and were very responsive to any questions that I had. The property is gated, which made me feel extra safe while staying there as well. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and I hope I get to visit again.

Great place to stay

Very nice little home on a nice quiet property. We stayed close to home for a little getaway and this place was perfect. Check in and out was easy and straight forward and we would recommend.

My wife and I searched for a unique property in order to celebrate our anniversary and this fit the bill! This one of a kind home is tons of fun but doesn't rely only on its personality. It is well thought out and appointed, impeccably clean and included everything needed for a stay of any length. Downtown Waxahachie and numerous restaurants are only a short drive away. Beethoven did his part as well to ensure we were well looked after. We'll be back!

It was the perfect distance from town. Close enough to get anything you needed wether it dinner or groceries but far enough to enjoy quiet. Felt like home from the moment we entered

The silo house is a unique, quiet get a way. We had a nice, relaxing anniversary weekend away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. They had every thing you could need to just kick your shoes off and forget your worries. We had a blast listening to the goats. Would love to come back and visit again!

We were impressed from the moment we drove on the property. Definitely my dream house on the perfect piece of land. We felt very much at home. Beautiful place with so much attention to detail. A home decorator's dream come true. A field of goats to enjoy, cows in nearby field, and a very friendly neighborhood dog that we fell in love with! Kudos to the Tammingas!!!

Weenjoyed our stay at the Silo. It's nice and quiet... Which is exactly what we were looking for. We loved listening to the albums.

We had a wonderful getaway in this fun and relaxing atmosphere. Close to our family in Midlothian for visiting, then our own place for evening respite. Very clean and all the comforts of home. Easy communication with owners and easy access to the private rural property. Definitely hope to return!

Lovely just a lot more active than expected with three houses surrounding the silo, was looking for something quieter.

Perfect spot for a two-day trip for work in the area. All the basics are there, plus beautiful, serene surroundings.

My husband and I stayed at the Silo House for an anniversary getaway. It was uniquely beautiful and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, easy communication, I’d 100% stay there again.

The silo is unique and nicely done on the inside. Cleanliness was an issue as there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher that had been there for several weeks. The smell was awful and mold was growing on the dishes. An old coffee K-cup was still in the Keurig and it also had mold. Shelves in the refrigerator had not been wiped down...some had dirt and dog hair. The most frustrating thing was we had no hot water in the steam shower. The owner's response to this..."turn the steam up to 100 degrees." Steam does not rinse the body. I had to heat water in a big pot and carry it upstairs so that we had water to rinse the soap off. We were very disappointed with the owner's total lack of concern regarding the absence of a necessity (hot water) that you expect when you stay somewhere.
