Pros Very beautiful hotel The staff were super friendly specially the lady at reception Room was decent for one person clean sheets and everywhere as well as the toilet Breakfast was not that big but it didn't need to be it has many things for you to eat and drink It's very warm as a hotel I didn't really need any heating Cons At night the other guests on thw same floor(3rd) were shouting like crazy people but that's not the problem of the hotel people don't have manners in 1-2 am I will definitely revisit or have it on my next when choices when I will return in freiburg

The location

Everything else. There is no staff after 6pm to assist with anything. They treat their paying customers like garbage and act like they're doing you a favor by doing their job. The internet is terrible. you can hear the toilet water running through the pipes from the room upstairs. the pillow (the ONE they give you), the bed and the one tiny one person comforter were very uncomfortable.

The room was spacious and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent. We sat outside on a terrace and chose from a wonderful array of buffet style food. Parking was about 300yds away in a multi-storey car park with a discount for hotel guests. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral, so quite convenient. There are a lot of different types of shop + restaurants and bars. We were there on a Saturday so there was a market around the Cathedral and we were just in time to catch Widor's Tocatta being played for a wedding - magnificent. We had a really nice meal at "Zum Roten Barren" where I have eaten in the past.

very close to the railway station and the old town. Well finished rooms and high standard of cleanliness.

No parking on site, however high quality public parking very close by.

Friendly welcome and excellent breakfast buffet. Only a 5mn walk to reach the historical center of the city. There's a lift in the hotel and they keep your luggage safe after the check out. Easy parking facilities if you come by car.

The owners are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. The building has a lift which is very useful.

I have booked a single room with my own toilet outside my room. Things worked right alright. But I find it inconvenient. Next time, I would definitely take a better room. But this is not the fault of the hotel as everything was explained in the website.

Second time I stayed. It’s a lovely hotel, in a beautiful building. The staff/owners are so nice and attentive. Breakfast is very good, with a wide selection and eggs made to order.

Our family room was light, airy, spotless, and benefited from a lovely terrace. The staff were excellent.

Off site parking was a little inconvenient.

Loved the building and how central it was. Also books in the room were lovely. Being able to access YouTube and Netflix via the room TV was a bonus.
