This hotel is FIRST CLASS and we cannot wait to return!!! We visited for 2 nights as we love the beautiful historic town of Ypres and always walk to the Menin gate at 8pm. The room was extremely comfortable and very quiet at night. The breakfast was beyond belief & so tasty. Genuinely friendly staff on reception. Car park easy. We will not ever stay anywhere else!!!

The breakfast was an adequate continental style with plenty on offer.
The room was big and spacious for 2 of us in a twin, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful though not a lot of staff on site.
You could not ask for a better location, less than 5 mins from the square and the Menin Gate.

Daphne on reception was exceptionally polite and more than helpful, as were the remainder of staff.

friendly accurate advice for local food
no one at reception to take our payment. We left assuming the previously registered card with Booking.com would be used. No, the hotel called and i had to give new card details. What is the point opf taking card details at time of booking , if not for such an aoccurance. At a push, one could always man the reception desk at 09:00

The Location was excellent, the room was very clean and well equipped for our stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Unbeknown to me I made the mistake of booking the rooms only for one rather than 2, this wasn't a problem as the rooms were double rooms but they failed to mentioned that there was an additional charge for the 2nd person until we came to check out the following morning - we should of at least been made aware on check in
