The property was very clean and staff were friendly. Great sea views, it was a joy to explore.

Had a fabulous stay at the Convent. Such a beautiful place with modern art tastefully juxtaposed with the original features. We were also very fortunate to have it to ourselves for one night. We were invited to treat it as our home and felt very welcomed and relaxed. Loved the swimming pool too which was a good size.

A place with a soul ❤️ Everything was perfect. The people that are working there make your visit a true pleasure. The building is amazing and has the most beautiful views. I will definitely come back.

One of the best hotels I discovered in the Azores.
The reception: adorable, professional, hyper available, smiling. I had the chance to have a guided tour of the hotel
The hotel: a former monastery. It has kept the architect, the atmosphere of the monastery. The Christian symbolic aspects can be found everywhere. But still keeping a great comfort.
The room: spaced out, large. Comfortable. The bed, very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. The views are magnificent (I had a view of the ocean)
The breakfast, healthy, natural, sufficient.
There are several lounges, terraces with beautiful views.

The breakfast was extraordinary. The details were spotless. The Convent is beautiful, the view through the windows gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again.
One minor observation is the lighting in the bathroom. In the day time is ok because of the big window but at night it needs a bit more

This is a 16th-century convent, made into a hotel - it is quite basic, but also a privilege to say at. If you want to stay in a historic building with great views (go to the roof!)....then this is the place. if you want spa/staff/dinner - then it is not.
Breakfast is ok, but a tad simple.

Exceptionally spacious building, quiet, no TV blasting.
No TV in the room- unusually pleasant these days.
Access to the roof. Unlimited access to coffee, fresh juice and fruits. Always 2 fresh bottles of water in the room.
WiFi access flawless in our room.
Very very pleasant staff, always helpful and friendly!

All in all a great experience!
A fridge in the room to keep personal food would have been nice. (we did not ask if there was the possibility to store own food elsewhere, though. I assume it would have been possible)

The place itself is totally unique and my husband and I
spent a good 20min just exploring the place. There are
a lot of places to sit and enjoy the view. Breakfast was
lovely and all the staff were really friendly and hospitable.
The pool is great and they have a squash court which is
an added bonus. The owner is a very nice man and as
a rock concert was taking place by the hotel they have
us earplugs and VIP tickets to attend - which we did
and it was a lot of fun! We would definitely stay here
again :)

beautiful building and view, friendly staff.
we were excited to stay in the beautiful and quiet convento. unfortunately we were staying in the building next to a very busy and noisy road. we could hear everything in the room and didn’t have any view. sadly we couldn’t change rooms.
The badroom was very small and missing space for our toiletries.
The pillows were of poor quality. I woke up with a stiff neck. overal we were disappointed.

Amazing and beautiful room and building. It was awesome to stay on an old monastery. Breakfast was fantastic with local pineapple. Highly recommended experience
