The cottage was great. We had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We booked the property at 1212 Flying Squirrel Court for a conference/family vacation at Kiawah Island for mid June 2023. The property is well appointed with appliances, comfortable furniture, including the beds, and cookware and glassware. The location was incredibly convenient on the West Beach end of Kiawah. The conference center was only 500 yards from the property. There was easy access to the beach and the other amenities available at Kiawah. We attended the Monday night Mingo Point shrimp boil which was less than five minutes from our location. In addition, as is mentioned in the description, it is a literal one minute walk to the first tee at Cougar Point golf course, which, for our group, was a tremendous convenience. The only issue was that the unit is part of a duplex. The adjoining unit was being demolished and rehabbed during our stay. The property owner certainly has no responsibility for the construction going on at the unit beside his property however, if he did not know, it was incumbent upon him to know this information and relay it to us. We should have had the opportunity to make changes without financial penalty as this construction was definitely unexpected and was, truly, the only blemish on an otherwise good week. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay while attending a tennis tournament in Kiawah. The property mananger/owner was very accommodating and attentive when needed. The unit was comfortable, clean and the sunroom's view of the lagoon made the unit exceptional. Would stay again if we were to go back to Kiawah. Be sure to rent bikes and ride all over the island and especially on the beach!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, clean. And updated cottage. We stayed with another couple- the cottage was the perfect place to stay! Highly recommend! Beach walks, dolphins, quiet, and close to Charleston!

Kiawah Island is a beautiful island with top notch golf resorts and great beaches. We loved the porch overlooking the lagoons. The property was as described & we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much.

Great stay for my family that was close to beach. Sun room was nice place to read a book and relax. Clean, well stocked kitchen. Easy checking and out. Recommend for small family or couples.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage over the Christmas and New Years Holidays. Visiting family on Kiawah, but wanted our own place instead of staying with them. Ultra clean, VERY well equipped (a grill!) and nothing that we said “wouldn’t it be great if they had thought of this?” Had a Christmas Day gathering with about 10 friends and the kitchen bar was the gathering spot. Perfectly laid out and easy to both live in, and entertain. Overall, quiet and peaceful. We already plan to return for Christmas next year!

We were lucky to find a place on the island after our original location was damaged by the hurricane. We couldn’t be happier with the result. The cottage was in a perfect location for the race. It was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive with any communications. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here in the future!

We had a fantastic long weekend here celebrating our anniversary. The cottage was clean, comfortable and more than spacious enough for two people. It’s close to golf, the pool and the beach and has beautiful views in the back (so much cool wildlife to see). No hitches in our stay until the very end, when we locked our keys in the rental car. The property host was SO gracious and helpful. We can’t wait to come back with the kids soon.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. We were 3 adults visiting family in the area. So it was nice for family to meet up with us at the cottage. It is very close to the beach, walkable. Beautiful large kitchen, plenty of room at the table plus bar seats at the counter for additional people to visit and enjoy each other’s company. This cottage had everything we needed to stay and be comfortable. Because the weather was unusually cold and windy, we loved relaxing in the solarium, watching creatures around and in the pond. We didn’t take advantage of the outside decks this trip because of pollen season. But we wished we could have! Very quiet neighborhood. The host was very helpful, answered our questions quickly and was very accommodating. It was nice to have beach towels and beach chairs available to take down to the shore. We were very glad to stay here and would love to return here.

We have traveled to Kiawah Island several times and this is, by far, one of the nicest rentals we’ve had. The layout of the two bedroom unit allowed four adults to move about freely and comfortably all week. The sun porch was an added bonus and was by far our favorite spot! We loved watching the wildlife. I really liked the close proximity to Freshfields and the beach was just a short bike ride away. Additionally, our communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. We will definitely book again!

This property was exactly as described . Small enough for us 3 women but spacious enough for us to relax. The décor was well put together and the outside scenery was so peaceful and serene. We would definitely stay here again.

Combined business with pleasure while staying in this cottage with nice lagoon view and plenty of space. The sun room and deck were perfect to enjoy the fall weather and the large TV was enjoyable for the nights (after enjoying the nearby restaurants). Located close to the conference center and beach - bikes advised - we love that it is close to the main gate for quick trips to Fresh Fields shopping and dining! The owner was incredibly responsive to the couple of questions that I did have. Comfortable and accommodating sums it up!

The cottage is great! Nice TV, good walk-in showers, nice sunroom and decks. Loved modern decorations. We had a relaxing time at the end of September 2021. To watch dolphins - go to the Captains Sam's Inlet on the western end of Kiawah beach at low tide. A host was great to work with!

Relaxing!

Perfect property for our girls trip! We spent our mornings in the sun room watching the wildlife at the lagoon. Short bike ride to the beach every afternoon. The condo was well furnished- enough bathroom towels, TP and even beach towels. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with cookware needed to eat in. Owners were great to communicate with and gave suggestions for dining and where to best see sunrise/sunsets. There were little extras like baskets at the front door to put your sandy shoes in and hooks for jackets and towels.

The property rental was clean, lots of outdoor light during the day, comfortable/cozy atmosphere and the scenery was beautiful through the sunroom! The golf course property and beach access was lovely! We even got to see lots of wildlife; deer in the morning and frogs jumping in the pond in the evening. We definitely recommend staying here! It was a wonderfully relaxing stay with friends, which we enjoyed without the hustle and bustle of the city!

The cottage was clean and the kitchen was well equipped for family dinner preparation. The grill was wonderful for cooking on the deck. The layout of the home was excellent for cooking, watching movies, and looking out over the lagoon! The library gave each of us plenty of reading material.The outside shower made beach clean up easy. The host was easily accessible and quite helpful!

This is a wonderful property in a beautiful setting. Each morning we got up and immediately went to the sun room to watch the fish jumping and the birds fishing! Beautiful lagoon! Serene and calming. The layout of the unit is perfect. Truly enjoyed our stay here. We've been traveling for 20 years together and this is our #1 place to stay! Loved it!

This condo is a well-equiped, clean property. The back porch is lovely and the sun room works well when the weather is warm. Owners were responsive with minor questions. The beach is a short distance away. Great place to stay!

Great property on Kiawah, most importantly it is behind the security gate giving you access via car to most of the island. Cottage was as described and at a great location, we walked to the beach in a few minutes and were able to hop on bike paths even faster than that. Would recommend for small families and couples.

Upon arrival we found the living area tv was not working. After letting the owners know they ordered an even larger flat screen tv from the local Walmart for us to use. This was awesome considering it was a guys weekend with plans of watching a lot of college football. The owners really rescued our weekend by stepping up and doing the right thing. Beautiful cottage, great fishing and a wonderful weekend getaway! We will be back!

This is a very nice condo in a convenient place but lack of attention to detail made our stay very frustrating. We stayed at Kiawah because my teenage child and his friends were playing in a soccer tournament in Charleston. We arrived just in time to watch the GA- Florida game, but the TV did not work in the main room. There was no instruction sheet on how to use the TV which I need but even my kids could not figure out how to use it. They watched TV in the bedroom instead of being able to eat snacks and dinner in the living/dining area while enjoying the game together. There was no phone number in the VRBO listing in order to reach out to the owner for help nor was there an email address. I ended up messaging and did not get a response until two hours later when I sent a second message. The answer I got was call Xfinity to fix the problem. When I filled out information initially to rent the place I was asked how many people were coming, and I was very clear that I was coming with one adult and three kids. The Trundle bed was not made up for that third kid. There were sheets for the bed, but when i am paying to stay, the bed should already be made. The shower for the twin room did not drain.

This was the perfect spot for our family to get together! It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. O2ners were super quick to respond to initial questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
