A lovely property and the room was comfortable and clean. We both slept well.

We were a bit distant we could only get BBC consistently on the tv and there was no DVD player in the room in spite of DVDs being available.

My partner and I stayed at this lovely venue on Sunday the 3rd September for one night. We travelled 30 x miles for an overnight stay and a day / evening away. The booking was straightforwards and the venue looked "nice" and the location seemed very central. Upon arrival (2.15) we were a little early for check in - I had been sent information beforehand about access to the key codes etc. There was parking available and immediately we were so struck by the loveliness of the venue - which was better in actuality than even the pictures on the internet. I was hoping to at least be able to leave the car in situ - until such time as our room was ready but inside we met a lovely lady on housekeeping. She was friendly and welcoming. She informed us that she was still in the process of room readiness but we were welcome to leave our case and bag in our room (5) so that we could go off into the village and our room would be ready for us soon after. Please thank this lady she was very pleasant. When we got back we followed the straightforward instructions collected our keys from the designated key box . The room was lovely for us . All facilities worked - everything was clean and smelt very fresh. A high standard of hygiene was obvious throughout the venue. The cubicle shower was very powerful and refreshing - high quality fluffy bath size towels and an array of soaps & shower gels provided. The bed linen was really and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. There was little external noise intrusion- even though we could see that there were a number of other guests staying that evening. In the morning we.followed the instructions provided by text message and deposited our keys in the box provided. We didn't see any other moment of staff during our stay - but this was absolutely fine in fact it added to the tone of our stay it felt nice to be able to "do things for ourselves" and all in all it worked a real treat.

I would be "reaching for ' something negative to say. It was a real delight and highly recommended 👌

Shame there was no breakfast but that aside my phone ran out of charge and that had the code to the door on it, sent by text, so I ended up having to stay with a friend elsewhere and return with a charged phone the next morning. Having the front door key was of no use.

Location and good value for money

The location was perfect and the staff was very attentive

The location of Grassington Lodge is great in that it is very close to the village centre but far enough away to ensure a quiet stay. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and for the price represented excellent value. We will definitely stay here again.

The only suggestion we would make is for a couple of bottles of water to be included in the room's fridge.
