It's on the edge of town so it's quiet and easy to get to with parking on site. The room is comfortable.

Ok hotel for a couple of nights, even though not in the city center.

Reception only limited times operational.

A charming hotel "Garni" [which I believe means breakfast but no restaurant] in an old building. It is a little way from the town centre but in a quiet area with a short walk to the stations and shops

It was fine. Reception closes at 730pm and if you are later they leave a key

beautiful traditional timbered hotel with very friendly staff. We loved our room, so sunny & quiet. Bathroom is small but very comfortable and very modern. One of the nicest bathrooms since a while. Very clean. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was also plenty with a large selection and was quickly refilled by friendly staff. even the castle was visible. We loved exploring the city, so so beautiful. We’d love to return.

It was a little bit of a walk to the train station.

Enjoyed my couple of days at Furtenhof Hotel. A clean and comfortable Hotel near the centre of Wernigerode with free parking. The breakfast buffet was sufficient with a varied choice of foods. Friendly helpful staff too.

Location was great. Also great Breakfast and friendly staff.

Sauna was only open until 7pm and we could not use it.

Excellent location with plenty of parking space for guests. Friendly staff. The room was very clean, rustic charm but with a modern, refurbished bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. Nice selection of food for breakfast. Would definitely return if we ever visit Wernigerode again.

Nothing to mention except that our room is above the breakfast restaurant,stairs to climb,no lift in hotel,so if you have heavy luggage it will be a problem. Inform the hotel that you have heavy luggage,perhaps you get a room on the ground.

The city has a mandatory 3 euro charge per person, per day for tourist fee. We were not aware of this until we checked out.

- No elevator service to some of the rooms - A bit far from the center (10-15 minutes walking), but beautiful half-timbered houses along the street so it's a nice walk!

It is a very good hotel in the outside of Wernigerode, really clean, calm and comfortable.

I would have liked having a fan or air conditioning in the room, as it was warm.

The location is great, just a short walk from the town centre, great breakfast and friendly staff. The room had a great view of the castle and are beautifully decorated with good amenities, such as tv, mini fridge, desk, wardrobe etc. It has everything you need.

There is no air-conditioning in the room and it did get hot. So i had to keep the window open all night. And the shower is a little difficult to properly use, as it takes a long time for the shower to be at the right temperature. But this is just a very minor inconvenience.

Sauna is great, staff is nice and eager to help. The apartments are great if you are staying for a longer period.

I guess you can call it schabby chic. The armchairs could use some repairs and the furniture style, while good quality, is very mixed. Minibar seems totally out of place.

Excellent staff and good location near enough to the town center and railway station (about a 15-minute walk). Would stay again! Staff were very kind. Danke!

Staff tried to speak in English even if she was struggling and overall they were courteous to me.

First of all, it seemed like a tug of war between booking.com and hotel management. Each party is referring to the other one when I am asking for a refund for the last day check-out. I checked out one day earlier because of the terrible back pain I got due to uncomfortable pillow . Booking.com website didn’t allow me to do early checkout and so I messaged both the night before. On top of that while checking out the reception charged me 20 euro etc for a certain tour that I never used but well, they don’t speak English so I couldn’t even explain this.
