Our stay in this beautiful & charming hotel was perfect - from hospitality to hotel location! We enjoyed it so much - even small room was not so small; noise from the metro was not so visible & walls were now so thin :)

4 stars is a bit generous for this hotel: towels were worn and hard, room was noisy (neighbours and metro can be easily heard) and most staff members at the reception were not very welcoming or communicative

great location, close to lots of nice food options, shopping and sights like louvre and scare couer were a 20 min walk. Staff were friendly and room was as listed.

Walls are a little thin so you can certainly hear adjacent rooms talking at slightly above conversational.

Sound proof is really poor with the room above. I could hear everything including Lourd conversations.

The location of the hotel is really nice. There is a really nice bakery around the corner. It offers much better breakfast than the hotel.

Right at the beginning the communication between the hotel and booking.com went wrong. The hotel messed up the type of room after booking. The hotel settings on booking where are not synchronized. We were rebooked from a room with a double bed to a room with two beds for the price of a room with a double bed. This happened shortly after the cancellation deadline and was communicated to us via email. The staff made us feel very bad when we arrived and tried to blame us even though we could outline the booking on booking with the confirmation email. The hotel staff did not try to make us feel supported and clarify the issue. Finally, the hotel pushed the beds together without communicating this solution. The staff did not apologize for the inconvenience caused to us. The bedding was not completely clean. There were black dots of dirt on. Various items in the room were broken: lamps, mirror in the bathroom, board for toothbrushes. The drain in the shower was dirty and smelled very bad. We had trouble stopping the toilet flush and lost a lot of fresh water, the toilet was constantly making LOUD noises. Since the hotel phone was broken we could not call the lobby to ask for help. The subway under the hotel made a lot of noise and vibrations in the room. We woke up several times at night and did not sleep very well. Hotel didn't refund us. They also didn't offer anything else. Booking.com wasn't answering our request for help.
