The room was really big, huge bed, big soffa, etc. There were other stuff, example, small tables, chairs, hair dryers etc. Very quiet even though there was a bus stop just infront of the hotel. We could ask for laundry with pretty low price. Nice 3-star hotel breakfast. Very helpful & friendly staff. Central location, close to everything. It was a very pleasant stay there.

From arriving to the hotel after losing my purse on the plane to leaving the staff went above and beyond to help me whilst I sorted out paying them due to not having any bank cards which were in my lost purse they let me stay until my money transfer went through. They were always helpful at reception and always had a smile whenever I entered reception. The breakfast was fine and catered for everyone and the staff at breakfast were amazing. The cleaners were amazing too. Anything I needed help with everyone went above and beyond to help me. I couldn't ask for a better stay and can't wait to come back next year.

The location was perfect, I liked the breakfast and the bar. WLAN was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. When we were not quite sure if we could leave at lunchtime they allowed us to keep the room for a few hours more.

The room was very small and the bed was way too soft for my liking. The furniture and the bathroom looked somewhat outdated and cheap. I have been in many other places (like Motel One) that offer just basic services which appeared much more modern and up-to-date. Also the bar is closed on Monday and Tuesday, which is very bad if you really want a beer in the evening.

Very friendly staff. For example, I arrived really early (around 12:00) and contacted the reception to ask if I could drop off my lugguage and check in later. They welcomed me, said that of course I could drop off my bags and offered a cup of coffee. In fact, it turned out that I could even check in early (which I hadn't expected). The hotel is located near the city centre and a mere 5 minutes away from the canal, from where you can start walks or hiking tours towards Trollhättan's places of interest, like the waterfall and the locks. Breakfast was really good. Lots of things to choose from, lots of fresh food, including vegetarian options. You can grab a coffee from the coffee machine in the hall anytime.

The first night (a Saturday) was somewhat noisy. There is a bar downstairs and lots of people where partying not only in the bar but also in the street right in front it, and generally the streets were busy with party folk. The other nights were much quieter though. The hotel interior is a bit outdated. This is no complaint about cleanliness (that was fine). But, for instance, the bathroom tiles must have been modern quite a while ago. And the windows don't close so tightly that they could lock out noise from the street completely (a bit inconvenient on the Saturday night). The furniture is a bit old-fashioned too. None of this is a serious issue, but I suppose the hotel will have to think about refurbishments at some point in the future.

The lovely cosy reception area with complimentary coffee and pastries. The adjoining restaurant is also very good and cosy too.

On the first morning of our stay the builders arrived at 7.30am and started stripping the roof off! We had windows in the ceiling above our bed so we could see them!! The noise of the hotel generator in the rooms in the roof is dreadful along with the seagulls. Our first room was very small and difficult to move around the eves. The bed was awful. This was very quickly resolved by moving rooms. This room was on the first floor and was much bigger and the bed and furnishings much nicer. I guess this was also an upgrade too. My rating below is for the second room.

Very nice and service minded staff. Late check in was handled without problem. Storing my bike in the luggage room was no problem either. The lady at the check out even helped me refill my water bottles before leaving the next day. Breakfast was above average. The "feeling" of the hotel was unexpectedly good. It has character, so to speak. The floor plan was quite quirky, with the stairs being located in a side-compartment with separate entrance, and above the stairs on the second floor was some kind of shared room where one could relax and socialize. The room itself was also unexpectedly nice. I liked the design. And on top of it all, there were separate shampoo and conditioner on the room! I have never seen that from a BW hotel before, so I am not sure if it was specific to this hotel or not.

The bathroom could have been a bit more modern. The room was quite hot, and opening the window only helped partially. Plus there were seagulls on the roof outside preventing me from getting a really good night's sleep.
