everything … location, amazing decor but it was the staff that really made it. So attentive, warm, friendly, professional and probably the best hospitality I have ever come across. Quite simply first class service.

Excellent breakfast. Lovely comfy furnishings. Friendly staff. Fantastic harbour and sea view. Great bed and room service staff.
Fan broken in the bathroom. Could not turn off the heated mirror which made the room warmer than liked. Sash windows rattled on windy nights.

The hotel is beautifully decorated & the rooms clean & comfortable. The bathroom a lovely size with an amazing
shower & lovely soft fluffy towels & great toiletries.
The breakfast had an amazing choice & was delicious.
There was never anyone on the small reception so you had to go to the bar.
That was quite busy so trying to get someone to help with anything was a bit of a problem.
Also some of the staff need to smile more. Some of them not all just didn’t seem to want to be there.
They got my breakfast order wrong 3 out of the seven days we were there. The yogurts had a use by date on that
was over & nobody noticed. Having said that I Googled to see if okay to eat & apparently you get up to 2 weeks. Not
what you expect from an expensive Hotel.

Location
It was noisy. Could hear people talking in the next door room, and as our room was over the bar which opened out onto the street with outdoor drinking, it was noisy until Kate.

Great location with amazing views. Very comfortable, relaxed ambience. Lively bar and good restaurant. We loved that we parked the car and didn't use it until we went home. We either walked or got the ferry. Although we didn't take our dogs we will next time because the hotel and the village is totally dog friendly.
Our only minor issue was with the dining furniture the club chairs are great for sitting in but not so good for eating and it is difficult to fit your feet around the table leg.

Only a village-view room was available but nevertheless it was an amazing room and we saw the great views from the dining room. Our room was spacious, comfortable with a fresh, chic but simple seaside feel to it, the owner had thought of everything. Breakfast & dinner were excellent. We decided to walk from the public car park but this wasn't a problem because it was made very clear beforehand that we would have to park there and pay, we did get wet due to the weather at the time though!
Perhaps it could be made clearer that the hotel reception is in the side-street then I needn't have got so wet while struggling to open the door to the bar area and pushing my case through!! I do realise that we could have asked for help unloading.

Great live music on one night. Perfect 3 day stay in lovely St Mawes. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in St Mawes.

The breakfast was good and location was really nice. Room was clean.
We were in a room with rooftop windows and there were no blackout blinds on the windows. The room was very light from 5am meaning we did not sleep well. I felt this was poor given the price of the room.

Good location. Nice room and bathroom. Nice vibe. View of the sea.
Seating in restaurant not very comfy, too low and not upright enough for eating. Staff very casual in their manner. Kettle and coffee machine in wardrobe is a bit odd. Clothes get steamed!
