Spacious, well-serviced apartment in a pleasant village with good swimming and food.

Remembering to turn the hot water heater on and off before a shower. The main street could be noisy.

Our flight was delayed and when we arrived at Chania we had to wait for a bus to take us to Kalives so we arrived quite late (at around 1 in the morning). We were texting back and forth with the host and keeping the updated on our situation. They were asking if everything is ok and if we have trouble finding the place. We arrived and they personally gave us the keys, answered all of our questions and wore a mask for protection. The price we paid didn’t include breakfast or any food but in the fridge there was a big bottle of water (cold and perfect after this whole journey), a big bottle of orange juice, brand new bread, small packages of butter and different jams so we could make sandwiches, coffee, tea and a few more things. In the morning she brought us fresh figs (around 500 gr.) which were so sweet and tasty. One of the evenings when we came back from the beach we found a whole bottle of rosé with glasses on the table waiting for us. All of these were compliments that were completely free. Our room was cleaned every other day and even our beds were made. At the terrace there were two chairs but we were 4 people so we brought two more from inside. The next day we two chairs were placed inside and two more like the original ones were placed on the terrace. Also the place is absolutely on the first line with a huge beach line with many bars and restaurants. The apartment is located in the center of the town.

The beds aren’t uncomfortable but we woke up tired in the morning. Also the coffee isn’t amazing but is ok.

Loved everything about this fabulous place!! Stayed in the penthouse apartment with its own roof terrace for two nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. Stunning view. Beautifully laid out. Friendly, helpful host. Steps from the gorgeous beach. The best spot in Kalyves!! Honestly one of the best places we’ve stayed. Whole family adored it. Don’t hesitate.

great location, lovely and clean and Zoi was so welcoming, apartment was small but was well equipped. beds and bedding comfortable.

The property was very clean and quiet, with excellent staff. It was located on the beach. Although it does not have a private beach, it is situated next to Kritiko restaurant where we always found sunbeds and refreshments. A 5 minutes walk takes you to a very sandy beach, Blue flag, if I am not mistakes, where terraces and sunbeds are again available. The room had a lovely balcony with sea view. The other guests were quiet which added to our satisfaction.

Loved location 30 second walk to beach from apartment door,well equipment clean kitchen, apartment was cleaned every other day and bed sheets tea towels and bath and beach towels replaced, we had a late arrival flight but owners son was waiting there at gone midnight to greet us with the keys & show us around the apartment , we were able to park our hire car outside there property to the morning as late, then parked our car in the large car park close by which was free to park 24 hrs a day, owner arranged for us to pick a self hire boat in Chania harbour which was helpful as he had trouble hiring the boat near by ,we was I a 1 bedroom apartment with full sea view which was so wonderful, we had a late departure flight and owner kindly let us say in another room until we left so able to have a shower later on in the day. We had a great holiday made all the better for our stay at Asterias Apartments .

The place was very good for families that want to have quite vacations! The place was very clean and the staff (Ms Aria) was very helpful and polite.

There could be some improvements in the furniture in the room that we stayed.
