We had a wonderful family Christmas at Ardro. There were 6 of us ranging in age from 27 to 99, it was perfect for all our needs and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The house overlooks the sea, with spectacular views to wake up to. The kitchen is very well equipped with a lovely warming log fire, the sitting room, oh so comfortable with more than enough room for us all and the dinning room a great size for our family meals. We loved the town of Criccieth, and enjoyed daily walks along the beaches. Communication with Jane was easy, with any questions we had, answered promptly. For families looking to stay in this area, we would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location with lots nearby. Perfect home base for exploring Snowdonia's many walks and hikes. Lovely views of the sea from every window on the front of the house. Loved listening to the sound of the waves as we were lulled off to sleep every night! Would definitely stay again if ever in North Wales!

We enjoyed our stay one or two areas resulted in a overall 4*. The grill and oven in need of a clean. Some of the bath towels were a bit thin. Otherwise a nice property with a good location.

Very nice property, accommodation over 3 floors, and multiple bathrooms. Really well equipped house, with living room on middle floor so you can enjoy the views with privacy. The top floor bedroom and adjoining bathroom is superb. Highly recommend.

The property was lovely, had everything we needed and really felt like a home from home. Lounge on the first floor for relaxed evening but also relaxing views downstairs for a quiet moment.

We can recommend the Castle fish and chips and Cadwaladers ice-cream! Jane, the owner, was really helpful and responsive to our queries. They have clearly spent time making the property clean and sanitised. There are hand sanitiser dispensers by the entrances to the house. A really good base for an activity filled week, from hiking in the mountains to Segway in the forest or just sitting watching the dolphins and relaxing.

We 6 loved this property! It's perfectly situated overlooking the beach and is an easy walk to all that Criccieth offers. Fabulous house, they’ve really thought of everything with the small details like binoculars for dolphin watching, amazing location, perfect for big families (we have 4 children). Highly recommended!

8 of us stayed here in a lovely comfortable house in an amazing location, well stocked inside and out. Lots to do and see with lovely little pubs and restaurants in which to eat and drink. Communication with the owner was easy and answered all our questions. Hoping to make it an annual event

We were two couples and the house was perfect. The master suite looks over the sea and the castle--a perfect place to sleep, relax or have coffee. Plenty of bathrooms, closets, a large sitting room looking over the sea and a kitchen with everything we needed! We had a lovely week! Jane was very helpful, leaving excellent restaurant suggestions. The town is charming and easy to navigate. Everyone in our party was fit so the 3 story layout suited us just fine. I wouldn't recommend the house for anyone who has trouble with stairs, however. With the kitchen and dining on the ground floor and sitting room and 2 bedrooms & shower/bath on the first floor (American 2nd), the stairs might be a problem. We loved our week here and highly recommend the house to active adults and families!

We were even treated to the magical sight of dolphins one evening, swimming very close to the shore for around 15 minutes or more. We hired this house for 7 friends to holiday in Wales - and it was perfect. Such a great base for exploring the local area. The house itself is so beautifully presented and very well stocked with everything you could need for a holiday!

We arrived in driving rain, but were very welcomed by the owners. We have stayed in many VRBO's, but this was the best experience. The hosts met us on site, provided us with a welcome pack and even had the kettle on. The house is fantastic, plenty of room and very well maintained. It was perfect for our group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. If the weather is nice, you can sit out front and watch for dolphins. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Ardro - the house is lovely with beautiful sea and castle views, ideally placed for beaches and town centre. Jane is extremely organised and welcoming and the house is spacious and very well furnished. The town has several restaurants, pubs and cafes along with an excellent fish and chip shop and ice-cream parlour. I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

Absolutely fabulous weeks holiday in Ardro.... lovely home with everything you could need. Great hosts that make you feel really welcome - nothing too much trouble. First class position in Criccieth, close to castle with fab sea views from dining room, lounge and master bedroom. Lots of great places to eat nearby as well as takeaways if you want... icing on cake was seeing dolphins in the sea while enjoying morning coffee in the lounge. Would love to stay again if we return to the area.

We had literally walked in through the door and our grandson pleaded, "Can we come back here next year?" Jane and Mark have a fabulous family home and are such gracious owners. Ardro has been beautifully refurbished and offers top notch comfort. Everything we needed was at our finger tips and Jane and Mark were only a phone call way had we needed them. We had various family staying with us throughout the week and all of them fell in love with Ardro - as seasoned self caterers in Criccieth that is quite a recommendation! Our only concern is that Mark and Jane will take early retirement and permanent residence, then we wouldn't be able to go back! There is so much to do in and around the area, but a highlight this year was Llama Trekking near Black Rock Sands - you need to book in advance. The house details on the website are accurate but they can't convey the ambience of this warm and welcoming holiday home.

House very well equipped. Lovely views onto north Sea don't think pictures do total justice for this House! We had 7 people stay here very roomy and also very clean. Very impressed. Also lovely places to eat, castle Inn, Dylan'so and also spice bank takeaway. Very well placed for many places to visit.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend here with friends. House very comfortable and extremely well- equipped. Lovely courtyard garden for our evening drinks! Can recommend Dylans for dinner - and the fish and chip along the road!

Absolutely wonderful accommodations for our holiday! The owners, Mark and Jane, were lovely and their house is beautiful. Great views, great location, fashionably furnished and very clean! Can't wait to come back!
