The 5 star castle hotel is grand with interesting arts, good for family vacation. Wish I had more time to try out all facilities!

Room was lovely, prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. The grounds were just beautiful and the staff were quite pleasant

We went for dinner in the brasserie but I believe we were served the lunch menu and was a bit disappointed as I didn't want a sandwich for my dinner

The original part is brilliant e.g knights bar and surrounding areas with seating and fires. Hotel rooms are amazing, especially the bathrooms. Staff were friendly.

Pool and sauna area is a bit tatty, and a let down- needs renovation (just in contrast to the standard of rest of the hotel). Wasn't able to turn any showers down to cool/cold. Staff forgot orders at times.

Our room was situated on the ground floor which was ideal. It also came with a patio. It was beautifully decorated and an ipad to control the curtains and lights, it came equipped with a coffee and tea station. The breakfast has a great selection which was cooked fresh, there was many choices such as full irish, vegetarian, eggs benedict, omelette, and pancakes. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, offering golf course, lodges, garden and river walks, castle, and a beautiful spa and leisure center, As we stayed over the easter weekend they had great entertainment for children and families, and an extra special guest (easter bunny) who gave all children an easter egg and each table received one as well. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, esp Kay, who gave us a personal tour around the property and some of the history which made our stay even more special.

We were celebrating a big anniversary and birthday and even though I mentioned in an email before we stayed there wasnt a card or chocolates in the room which surprised me. We were also interested in the Michelin tasting menu but we were not allowed to see the menu before hand or the room which discouraged us from booking it. But these are minor things we had an amazing stay

staff were exceptional - great service dinner was very enjoyable the grounds were gorgeous and there was lots to do really enjoyed the gym and pool

I loved the comfort and the surrounding areas. Really beautiful. Staff and Spa was excellent. The stream room and Sauna were high quality

The food was quite slow. But the staff were excellent. Gentleman with a leg brace brought my bags to the room. Sorry I didn't have anything to tip him. The pool changing rooms I felt were tight, not enough space, bad environment for young kids and elderly. Just didn't mix. I felt the elderly were quite uncomfortable. Shower went from hot to cold and empty conditioner bottle. But not big issues.

Our suite was amazing, staff were absolutely lovely & friendly & so helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us … dinner & breakfast was delicious & we can’t wait to go back there again, we have been to many hotels here in Ireland & it’s definitely without a doubt our favourite, top class … thanks so much for making our 40th wedding anniversary so special ❤️❤️❤️❤️
