The staff was quite helpful

The hotel facilities were modern and clean and I found the bed comfortable. Service was minimal but adequate. There were facilities for coffee and tea in the lounge. There was a good place for breakfast not too far away and many other restaurants.
The hotel was ideal for me but guests do need to be aware that it is in a quiet residential area with not much going on. It offers a very good place to sleep and is excellent value but there are no frills. However it is not far to walk into the city centre and there are frequent busses.

Breakfast room was most adequate for those who wanted minimal refreshments at The Brighton. Easy for people to come and go as they wanted. Room most adequate and private. Very accessible to the city centre, even without a car. Short and safe walk to regular bus service.
I would have liked a bedside table and lamp.

Room was spotlessly clean, Bed really comfortable and cosy... Slept like a log.
Really Quiet, no noise. or distractions.
Michelle the landlady greeted me with a warm welcome and made me feel "at home".
Complimentary Tea and coffee available at all times.
Will book again.

Not having the tea/coffee facilities in the room. Which had nothing to do with the hotel ,but everything to do with the recent Covidiocy scam/plandemic. So no points deducted there

Very pleasant lady, madee to feel comfortable and safe.
Room was gorgeous. Lounge and facilities spot on.. only thing i would recommend it putting more supplies in the bathrooms.. i.e soap..wash things..and having brighter lights.

Was on the front and the double glazing windows dont seem to stop tne road noise at all no kettle in room mattress was a little lumpy

Great welcome from staff. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Fantastic value for money. Location well within walking distance to the city centre.

The room and the bathroom was clean, the staff was really amazing. In general was comfortable stay, near you can find some shops and bus station to go to the city centre.
The TV had a problem with low volume, the staff solved it but after some time the problem continue.

Room nice and clean and good decor.
Staff very friendly and accommodating, especially as was I having transport problems and checked in later than planned.
Stayed at the Brighton before and came back because it is good value and a nice place to stay.
Everything was great so no issues at all.

almost everything. Very impressed by how clean everywhere was. Loved the lady who greeted me. presumably the landlady?
I didn't like the constant door banging near my room the night I arrived, which seemed to go on for ages. I needed to get good night's sleep before GNR next day. Did eventually sleep ok.

Michelle was exceptional! Very friendly, very helpful and could not do enough for us. it was an excellent location for the Great North Run start line.
No hand soap in the bathroom but that was only minor.

Could have used some glasses for the room so we could have a glass of water.
