the beach bar was a nice place to drink and chill at. The spa area was always nice and peaceful. Being able to have loads of drinks is also nice! Made good connections with two staff members which made the holiday better!
All food was not warm never when under a heat lamp, we paid for a panorama room but it seemed like a normal sized room with no panorama view (could see the beach but that was it). Pool had no heating so it was very cold, didnt use it ones.

Very clean. Food was lovely, except the Asian restaurant was variable, where 3 of us had the beef dish which first came out cold and then when it came out again it was very salty so they couldn’t eat it. The crispy duck was nice but you can’t really go wrong with that.
Our room was very outdated, would say it was a 3 star at most. The handle would fall of the adjoining door between the two bedrooms in our room, and the shower head didn’t attach to the wall so you could stand under it, you had to hold it. Not enough sun beds around the main pool so was difficult to get a sun bed and they are very strict with reserving the beds with towels.
Staff a bit slow in getting you your drinks, it could take some time. Found some to be argumentative at times. They serve crepes in the day, as a group of 6, 3 of us went to get them and the staff member was not happy at all and wanted to give us crepes from a batch that had been made earlier in the day and just warm them up but they were burnt and asked for fresh ones and she argued with us about it. Also can be windy there and as one guests umbrella landed in the pool they made everyone else put them done for safety which i can under but as someone who burns within 10 minutes of being in the sun it meant i would have had to have gone and sat inside,

Stayed in a Grecotel a couple of months prior which is why we chose a Grecotel again but the Lux Dama Dama was not up to the standards of the one in Crete. Asked to speak to the manager for a solution, one person came and told me it had to go down and when i asked where do i and others get shade from otherwise my skin will burn he didn’t have a solution, went away and never came back.

The best part for me was the massage next to the beach. It was not included in the overall price, but worth it. Look for Marina
The check-in process was a bit all over the place. People in different uniforms tell you to wait at different places. The welcome drink arrived after 20 min when we were actually checked-in and ready to go to our room.
Most drinks were watery, which is to be expected probably from an all inclusive hotel, but still.

The staff at the hotel were absolutely brilliant. They were the best thing about the hotel. Food was very good,Location was perfect, entertainment was very good.
Toddlers swimming pool hygiene was not the best.

The Hotel is fantastic, the people working there is very friendly and service minded.
Hotel pool amazing and hotel is on the beach which provide you with both options.
Asiana and Italian restaurants has amazing food, the buffet is ok, they always provide some child-friendly options.
Remember to book the a la carte restaurants immediately as they fill up fast.
Lunch by the Beach bar was also really nice.
Easy bus- to Rhodes city just outside the hotel.
Would definitely go back again.
We where very disappointed with booking.com who sold us an upgrade of a two double bed room, which do not exist as a room-category at the Grecotel Dama Dama hotel unless you book a bungalow.
This was not the Hotels fault, however poor communication between parties.
The Greek ala carte restaurant was unfortunately a disappointment and we should have chosen the buffet instead, for more options. Was missing some turkey and meat toppings during breakfast.

Staff very friendly, always smiling and with a great attitude. Captain Evangelos Maniskas is the man, always with a good joke, makes you smile.
“LUX” should not be in the name of the hotel. While conditions are decent to good, the property has nothing to do with lux. E.g. the main building and the elevators are really old, just with a fresh layer of paint (that started to scorch on some areas). As a funny aspect, judging by the noise of one of the elevators, I was expecting a voice to say “Release the Kraken” 😁.

Kids Grecoland and the child minders
Our first room was incredibly loud due to the parties in the neighbouring hotel. Had to pay for an upgraded room to get away form the cacophony for our baby and us to sleep in peace. This was at a friendly price, I was assured by a patronising desk worker.
We could never get a table at any of the hotel restaurants. The “overbooking” excuse is just bad and shows poor planing and service.

Location was great and the room was large and clean. Generally staff are really nice and helpful.
The bed in our room was uncomfortable. At 7 am, you barely find any free sunbeds at the pool. When we arrived 11 to the beach we could not find any free sunbeds there either, while you could see that lot of them were just reserved with a towel and the staff didn't do anything about it, the hotel doesn't have a policy for this problem (unlike other Grecotels in different islands). Serving drinks at the restaurant is very slow.

The ability to include luxury and relaxation for couples as well as families with kids is an exceptional achievement. Grecotel surpassed all.
Our hostess personally greeted us at the door. She knew exactly who we are. Room wasn’t immediately ready so the resort provided drinks for the family and after five minutes vacation started. Truly amazing place.
I recommend this resort to families with kids! Do not be afraid of anything being broken or disturbing other guest. The kids are provided plenty of things to do.
The a la carte was also amazing. The resort provides (free of charge) the ability to eat at their dedicated restaurants. Our kids are reckless, so we found the buffets to be the perfect feeding points. :)
The buffet incorporates gourmet chefs as well.
All-inclusive is the way to go
Not a dislike, but more of a be prepared!
Download the Grecotel app and make your a la carte reservation in advance. Plenty of people want to have the same experience!

The buffet restaurant was nice and the food was generally good.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
This is a good hotel and you will have a good time if you are looking for sunbathing and drinks
The Italian restaurant is very nice.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel that will bring you to Rhodes in 20 mins.
The place is not kid friendly for kids under 4 years of age as there is not much for them to do there,
the breakfast was basically the same every day and that got boring quickly.
There is a sense that they are trying to save money in odd places like not giving you enough shampoo or having a games room where you have to pay for pool and air hockey.
The a la carte restaurants are never full but always seems impossible to get a reservation.
The Asian and Greek restaurants were a disappointment,
There was no real entertainment at the venue when compared to other local hotels.

The Place tries to profit from the Grecotel Image - as soon as u enter u see a 'LUX-ME' slogan - all over. What should this communicate ? Luxurious Holidays ? Reality is very disappointing - No Luxury at all. So in the end it is a big FAKE - overpriced ... bad quality... boaring meals ... pool too cold ... beach super ugly and dirty ... but all in 'LUX-ME' - what do u think about tourists ? Just idiots who pay for non-quality a LUX- Price ? This puts a very bad light on Grecotel (as soon as u turn TV on u get all the other Luxury resorts ... also overpriced but location wixe surely better ... as mentioned : Biggest FAKE ever - and Booking com is now off my list - after booking some 10 times a year - Booking com is also a big FAKE as they sell the place as LUX me-too !!!!
LUX-ME !!!! Joke !!!

The hotel staff is most welcoming, assisting, and hospitalizing as one can be. the all-inclusive dining options are great, you have something to eat and drink all day long which allows a lot of flexibility in your day. the facilities were clean, maintained, and available all day long.
There are 3 a-la-carte restaurants at the hotel, and I would strongly recommend Cafe Italia and the hotel wine selection.
Nothing to say here :)

Everything. We came here after swapping hotels and everything exceeded our expectations. We knew we made the right choice from the very start when we met the Porter (we think his name was Grigorios) was extremely welcoming, polite and kind and it really set the tone for the rest of the stay. The staff were fantastic (another shout for Elektra at meal times) as the brilliant location wouldn't have shone as much without them. Pool and hotel facilities were also fantastic. Food/drink far exceeded expectation and we were not disappointed even though we did not manage to make a reservation at one of the three onsite restaurants.
It was really hard to find things we didn't like and we had to properly nitpick to find anything:
* small maintenance issues in the room - the balcony light didn't work and the central drain could flood when emptying the bath (not when taking a shower). Room 725.
* During meals we were sometimes forgotten for drinks while eating at the main hotel restaurant. The waiting staff could have been a little more attentive on this.
* one of our party had a gluten allergy - it would have been good to include ingredients on the food signs/tags at meal times. She was able to get specific food when she asked - thank you!!

the hotel has a great location, very easy to access most major sites via the local bus routes. the gardens, beach and pool area were all very well maintained. The food was varied and always available, the gelato and crepe stand was a bonus and the staff were always friendly and hard working!
The room was below average. Furniture was minimal, no outlets next the bed, a faulty beside lamp, the drain in the shower was broken so would slip off whenever used, leaving a large hole in the floor of the shower. Also, there were no privacy curtains so you either had to have the windows completely exposed or use the black-out curtain which seemed like an oversight.
The spa should be avoided, I wouldn’t expect a hotel spa to be of the standard of a normal
spa, however I was really disappointed with my ‘facial’. to begin with, they didn’t know what me and my husband were booked in for, they assumed we were both there for a massage. my face was cleansed and scrubbed within 10 minutes and then I spent the remained of the hour with a mask on my face while my hair was played with, then braided and then the spa lady gave the most unwilling/awkward head massage I’ve ever experienced. it was strange to say the least! The outdoor spa experience was interesting, but unfortunately can’t control the weather (very windy) or if there are upset children nearby. not worth the money!

Main bar service and choice of drinks excellent. Food in buffet restaurant excellent quality. Beds very large and comfy. Reception staff friendly and very helpful.
Service standards are not to the standard expected for the price you pay! Wrong wine served, no water glasses/ desert spoons provided , having to queue for plates before being able to get your dinner, all things you shouldn’t have to put up with for the price. A la carte restaurants were a let down, especially the Greek restaurant, but no different to our last visit. The Asian restaurant food was far better but service again let it down. Main course served before all starters served!!
Sunbeds impossible to get unless you are up at 7am, rule not enforced re towels being removed after 30 mins if beds not used!
A pity little things spoil what was a very good hotel but standards should be much higher for the price you pay.

The location was great, gorgeous beach where sunbeds were always available even if the pool was busy. The speciality restuarants were worth booking and a nice change from the buffet. Loved the beach bar in the evening.
It felt like they needed more staff, those that were there were brilliant and were working flat out but they could only do so much! The room was a little tired but very clean.

A 5 star experience! A beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff all day long. The buffet restaurant has a great selection and also is great quality. Bonus is the creperie and gelaterie!
3.5 / 5.0
Large spacious room on ground floor. Hotel staff were friendly and worked hard. Branded drinks available when requested.
Poor music round the poolside and many people reserving sunloungers for hours on end and not using them. No plug sockets near any mirrors.
4.0 / 5.0
The staff is very nice, they really try to make it happen the requests coming from the customers. Also, the area of the main pool is quite nice and the food in the a la carte restaurants in very good. The bar at the beach is also nicely located and makes a good spot to have a afternoon break. One big plus is the entertainment for the kids and adults every evening. That is quite well done.
The cleanliness of the pools (specially the kids pool) and the dishes at the buffet restaurants definitely needs to improve. The availability of umbrellas and seats in the kids area also needs to be more though through. Some of the internal policies of the hotel are not fully updated in the Booking.com site which should be fixed asap to avoid misunderstanding. One additional point, would be great to put blinders in the windows of the rooms to avoid the sun light in the morning and also each room should have a small table/desk to accommodate better whomever needs to work with a computer. The shower in the rooms are also not a real shower, but rather a bathtub where you need to hold the bathtub hose (this last one they fixed for us during our stay).

2.0 / 5.0
Restaurants and bars staff are fantastic.
Reception is good and ready to help.
Beach spa good (except 1 lady - waste of time and money, try to go for Vikea and Anna. They are the best).
Animation team for grownups - very well done guys esp Marta, Laurencio and Paulo.
Option of a late checkout from one of the booked rooms (special thanks to Katina and Kristina for making it happen)
——Adding minuses here as running out of space:
Cleaning in rooms and corridors was a joke:
Every day we had an issue with the towels and toiletries. The floors were not washed once during our 14 day stay, nothing was dusted (and the Covid is not an excuse for the hotel still using shower curtains - they are also not cleaned).
The corridor on the 3rd floor was always dirty with glasses and disposed bags around the elevator lying and stinking there for days.
The area around the kids pool was cleaned irregularly and the pool itself was quite dirty on several occasions (photos of the pool area were taken at 10am).
The beach requires special shoes as it’s is full of rocks, the entrance to the sea is also very tricky. Not really suitable for families with small kids or elderly people.
Beware families booking Family rooms with garden/mountain view and checking the photos online: the photos are not of those rooms. The room 310 was dated and very noisy overlooking the road. There was a mountain after the road and zero garden - there is a hotel parking under the windows.
The room was old and dirty. And hugely overpriced.
We had two rooms booked: the second double one though sea view was located near the outdoor air conditioner engines and the noise was 24/7, getting very loud around 5am. Also the staff disposes glass bottles on that side of the street. So you get the glass noise around midnight and then a continuous and very annoying engine noise. Felt like we were living near the airport. So stay away from any rooms in the main building ending on 23 and all the even numbers with the garden view - you will not rest there and you will run home like we did. Just to get away from the hotel.
The reservation manager managed to move us from room 310 to a double sea view 303 - a better option for smaller families and couples with renovated shower room and spectacular sea views.
The thing is that the Family room cost us €1.000 mor for 2 weeks and nobody has reimbursed the difference. So you are being deceived booking a ‘nice’ Family room that turns out to be in a state of a hostel and then you are ‘kindly’ moved to a cheaper room. An absolute disgrace for a hotel of that standard.
Needless to say that we wouldn’t consider the whole Grecotel chain in future based on this very upsetting experience (our previous trip to the Cretan Grecotel was fantastic).
Also seems a strange pricing policy: EU guests get times better rates than people coming from the Eastern Europe and Russia.
And another fat minus is the quality of a Kids Club: 6 animators doing close to nothing the whole day apart from the Kids Disco with the same songs and program. We’ve been to hotels with Kids animation and this one was the poorest in terms of the content.

I had a wonderful time here. The staff is super friendly, the hotel premises are really pretty, the beach is clean, the rooms are not new but clean and spacious. The food is unbelievable! Not once did I even think about going to a restaurant instead of the regular lunch or dinner: great variety of dishes, the quality is superb. Great location: it’s a rather short drive from the airport; the city of Rhodes is close; a great water park is just around the corner, and there’s also a small mall in the building next to the hotel. I also liked the evening entertainment programs. The water sports facilities (paid and free) are available right at the beach. Highly recommended!
This is probably a better choice for families rather than for couples that would like to have some privacy. Other than that, I didn’t have any problems with anything.

Food very good and a lot of choice
Facility clean
Young but inspired staff
A lot of unpolite eastern european guests, but that isn't the hotel's fault
