Lovely period hotel in the centre of town. Great bar area and restaurant with good food. Very individual rooms thoughtfully presented.

Parking in Rye is an issue and non at the hotel although within a 5 minute walk. High st facing rooms are noisy until the bars shut and the age of the hotel means that you will hear other residents in the evening and morning. Air con in the rooms would be a welcome addition.

Beautiful building in a wonderful position. Comfortable and clean room. Quiet. Food was really nice.

Not much attention to diet’s restrictions or intolerance. There should be more options and concern. For an inn of this rank/price, and comparing to others in the same stars rating, this aspect was not satisfactory. Even though I am conscious it was a busy bank holiday period, it seems staff couldn’t handle properly the number of guests/customers both during breakfast and dinner.

Too many emails re a booking for one night. 14 in total! For a relaxing break repeated messages not necessary. Was this down to the hotel or Booking.com?

Very noisy bedroom and cleaners woke us up at 7am complaining and smoking outside of our room. I emailed reception at the time to ask them to go elsewhere but I never received a response.
