We were actually pleasantly surprised by residence Village Montana ****. We've stayed at Village Montana Plein Sud before and whilst a little more luxury, the 'little brother' is not a bad choice to stay either - rooms are smaller and no spa/swimming pool, but in terms of value for money and central location a great option with the recently renovated rooms. Small but cosy with everything you need.

The room was cleaned upon arrival (bathroom/bedrooms), but not vacuumed when we entered with lots of crumbs on the floor. We expect it was an oversight (as a vacuum cleaner was available in the room) and chose to do this ourselves quickly.

Good location of the apartment (v30), nice view and in a quieter part of town. I would recommend V31, V32 for best views. Lift down to the locker room was good and then straight out onto the piste. All mod cons in kitchen. Comfy beds and sitee.

TV in the lounge didn't work(received no signal) and the heater in the larger bedroom did not work but not a bigl issue for me. Boot room is poor though, for v30 you only get a half locker compared to other rooms and the floor is not on a slope so lots of water pools everywhere. Need some rubber mats to avoid this. Very cramped in the boot room when say four or five apartments are in at once. Also the boot heaters didnt seem to come on when you needed them i.e. early morning 08:15.

I loved the fact that the ski hire shop was in our building, which made the 'work' of collecting and transporting skis and boots to our apartment very easy. The Boulangerie is just over the road, which is also great. It is ski in and ski out as well, which is great.

There was quite a lot of noise at night in the road outside the apartment - mainly from people returning from late night bars and clubs. This woke us up every night and was a bit frustrating. The pillows on the bed were not very comfortable.

Location is great. Room size was good too.

I was expecting a better welcome package. Couple of espresso capsules, tea bags, more shampoo bottles then just two, more towels, a free mid week cleaning, etc
