Good restaurant. Friendly staff.

The hotel needs to be renovated. Furniture is as old as the hotel . It needs paint urgently. Very dark and a bit depressing. (Barlovento is a cloudy and cold place in winter) The garden is neglected.

The hotel is located in a lovely quiet rural spot just outside the town of Barlovento (10 min walk into town). It's in an ideal location for hiking/walking. The rooms are nice and big and have everything you need. If you find the food a little bland ask the host for some of his homemade chilli sauce. Super good. Also, the family and staff who run this hotel are very kind and welcoming. They even gave me a plate of incredible cheese on my birthday!

The room is very spacious with nice view when the weather allows it and quite comfortable bed. The breakfast and coffee was nice. Outside view of the hotel has it’s charm and the garden is beautiful.

Despite it’s incredible charm from outside, the hotel needs urgent refurbishment inside to keep it’s fame. The rooms and bathroom is very very old, everything is soaked in humidity smell. We understand that the hotel tries to keep the original look but this can be done also by simply renovating few things and get the matching decoration. There was also a lot of noise in the room from the corridor. The facilities in the room are very poor - we had medicine that needed to he in the fridge, the one in the room wasn’t working at all, so we asked the staff to put it in the bar fridge, the next day we pick it up, it wasn’t cold at all.

The staff really make this place. They are excellent and the beds are really comfy. there’s use of the indoor pool. The food is good too. Will definitely be back.

It really needs some maintenance doing to the grounds. It really lets down an otherwise excellent hotel.

Old warm charm in a beautiful setting. A rare timeless La Palma hotel with amazing views. a wonderful friendly staff and a gem of an owner Douglas. A unique relaxing experience. Highly recommend!

This was my second visit. It's just beautiful, the food is great and the staff are so friendly too (+ there's a pool!). Stay here if you want to view the volcano eruption - it's well out of the way, but drivable. You can come even while the airport is shut, by getting a flight to Tenerife (South), hiring a car and getting the short Fred Olsen trimaran across. Then the island's all yours and the chance to see one of nature's most beautiful natural events, especially at night...!

Spectacular location with great views. It had a beautiful terrace to eat on and a well priced and varied menu. The outdoor pool is simple but nice. The anti Covid-19 measures were very appropriate. It is fairly close to attractions such as the Fajana swimming pools and Los Tilos.

The nearby town is of little interest.

Great views and lovely restaurant to rest after walks. The balcony are great for stargazing!

Room a bit dated

Fantastic old school romantic place. The personnel was very, very friendly. Great place to explore the area. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here.

We like this hotel, special atmosphere and location. Nice staff, good restaurant, large room (junior suite) with 2 balconies and great views.

An electric watercooker in the room would be nice.

Exceptional, welcoming staff happy to help. Will go out of their way to help you in every way possible.
