This place is right in the heart of the beautiful old town. Marinella was so accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, thank you vey much.

The location was nice, right in the center and it still had a parking place (with extra charge). The terrasse was nice but not directly linked to the room. Many nice decoration details. The owner was very friendly.

The building is a bit rund down and the room was small and packed. The shower is tiny.

In the middle of the historic center this old palazzo is a little gem. Very personal contact with the owner. We stayed two nights instead of the originally planned two. Very clean and very nicely decorated. The inner courtyard is a nice surprise.

The location couldn't have been more convenient - Residence Briona is just a few steps away from the lively Piazza del Mercato where laughter from the many cafes echoes in the evening. On Saturday morning, the piazza comes alive with dozens of vendors and thousands of shoppers. Although very close to the bustle of the piazza, the bedrooms of Residence Briona face the interior atrium garden so it's actually quite peaceful in the evening. Our gracious host Marinella met us at the entrance to the pedestrian section of town and guided us through the narrow streets to the garage at the rear of the Residence Briona where we parked our car. She then escorted us to our rooms on the second floor of what was once a palace. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Crisp linens, cookies, and apricot juice awaited.

Our time in Domodossola was too short; unfortunately, we only had one evening to spend.

The rooms are beautiful, furnished and maintained with lots of love and care. The equipment is modern and in the best condition (showers, kitchen, crockery), the rooms are beautifully decorated in an antique style. The host is very friendly and competent. The bed was very comfortable. We were very happy with our stay - greatly recommended!

There is a social club downstairs, which means that people congregate and converse all day long, the noise is a little tiring. However, the club closes around 9 pm, afterwards it’s quiet.

Residence Briona is amazingly located in a 14th century building. The room I had was very lovingly decorated and furnished. The bed was supremely comfortable and the little kitchen was well equipped with the necessities. The proprietress, Marinella, was extremely kind and helpful and told me lots about the sights of Domodossola.

Though it is centrally located, I went past the entrance four times before I finally found it. It is crucial that you pay attention to the house numbers, as Briona doesn't have a pompous front entrance. You go through a gate and across a courtyard.
