My husband and I had a wonderful low key vacation here at this fabulous cottage. It was central to many things. It was cozy and well equipped with convenient parking. The home had modern conveniences mixed with a historical decorum which gave the cottage a special vibe. The owners provided a wealth of information about the area which was really helpful. They also provided access to their herbal garden which allowed me to cook some very tasty food that we bought from the local Amish market. Overall the area is beautiful and scenic and I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to unwind and relax in a beautiful space near the Delaware River.

This is a beautiful and meticulously-maintained cottage in a lush, parklike setting. We were welcomed warmly and provided with lots of information about local activities and attractions. I hope to return for another stay.

We always enjoy our stay. Place is very close to all things to do as well as comfortable and quiet. Wild life in the back yard always a joy to watch.

I cannot say enough about this lovely cottage. Emily, the hostess was kind and gracious. We arrived to fresh cut flowers and a welcoming basket of snacks. The location was an ideal distance away from the crowds for a Princeton graduation. It is about a 20 minute drive to campus and you do not have to navigate Rt 1 from here. The hosts even adorned the cottage with a Princeton flag! The cottage was spotless and fully appointed. If you bring groceries, you have a full kitchen, - milk, orange juice and coffee were provided. All linens were also provided - even soap. The bookshelf had something for everyone plus a few games. The town of Yardley was a minute away with plenty of restaurants and a WaWa convenience store. The river is directly in front of the cottage, across the road. You will feel more than comfortable during your relaxing stay -from the fairy lights in the beautiful tall tree outside your door to the warmth of the cozy cottage's interior.

This was the perfect place to rest and write. The cottage is beautiful. The wood-burning fireplace provided a picturesque atmosphere for evenings and cold days. The canal tow path, located a very short drive away, was a great place to walk, stretch your legs, and be out in nature. And with shops and stores in nearby towns, the location is great! Emily and Alfred were wonderful and attentive hosts, and their personal touches made this a great stay.

We stayed at this perfect cozy cottage over the Christmas holiday and and it felt like home. Emily had put up a Christmas tree and with the fire crackling it was very festive. Thank you for the best Christmas we have had since we retired to SC.

Emily was very nice and welcoming. The cottage was cozy and clean on a beautiful property overlooking the Delaware across the road. It had just turned to Fall with some chilly nights and the owners made sure that the fireplace was ready to use with an ample supply of wood. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Problems you don't even think about...lightbulbs...flashlights...plastic dishes for outdoor dining...brooms, mops, cleaners...absolutely ANYTHING you may need. A warm. Inviting. Comfortable. "Home". The property was really nice and quiet. Flowers and nice yard. Saw deer in the back when we first got there. The house was very warm and welcoming. I appreciated all the extras like candles, books, and all the extras in the kitchen. Everything we needed for our stay.

It was obvious from the start that Emily had put a lot of thought into the furnishings and amenities of this beautiful little cottage. My wife and I stayed for five days in May. We enjoyed views of the Delaware river from the well-manicured front yard and we were visited by deer in the back on most evenings. Recommendations for local dining were spot on and we felt like we were close to everything we wanted to see in this historic part of the country. This was a perfect springtime getaway for us and the details provided by our host were very much appreciated.

Caring hosts with attention to detail is evident everywhere in this beautiful cottage and surroundings. Thoughtfully appointed with all you need and then some! We came for a weekend and would have loved to stay longer!

My wife and I enjoyed a few nights at this "Getaway Cottage" in late February, 2022. It was cold outdoors, but the gas furnace kept the cottage toasty indoors, even without using the fireplace. But the kiln-dried wood and fire starter pieces made it easy to light a fire a couple of times, just for the ambience. The cottage is very well equipped with everything one could want in the kitchen for cooking and serving. The bathroom was clean and nice with plenty of hot water for my long showers. We slept great every night. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay.

This cottage was beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations are perfect for a couple. Emily and her husband decorated the cottage for Christmas which was so special! They also had drinks and snacks available. Emily was very easy to reach for asking questions. We would definitely stay again when visiting family in the area!

We were celebrating birthdays and anniversary and wanted to get away. The house was sooooo nice. It was private, quiet and immaculate! We really enjoyed the location and just had a wonderful and relaxing time away! Will go back.

When I book a vacation home, I look for several things: First is a home that is private. I avoid commercialized places with crowds of people like a resort or condo. This cottage allowed my wife and I to relax alone and in peace. That's true rejuvenation! Second is a place with character. Who wants to stay in a cookie cutter cottage, apartment, hotel room, or condominium? We love the way we stepped into another world when we entered this cottage. Finally, I want the stay to be a easy to book. This one was a breeze - just the right of communication to make everything clear without a lot of red tape and stress. Thank you!
