Full of history with a host who Is passionate about the place.....Great atmosphere and in wonderful surroundings.

Wish bar and / or restaurant had been open in the evening if only for a drink and a relax in lounge.

Old inn just outside of Gavle. Could use some restoration in the rooms. But it was clean and comfortable. Very nice and accomodating owner that without questions helped us with late check-in and providing a crib. Recommended for travelers!

Not clean, the things are ruined in the room,

Beautiful inn situated close to Sandviken. Long history connected to the house and the ball room was really nice - perfect for weddings and big parties! The property is worn, so bare in mind, but if you consider this as the old inn as it is, it's no worries. The location is really nice and just a few minutes walk to the lake. Our host was very helpfull and nice, keen on telling us about the history of the property. If you're in to malt whisky there are tastings and it's really close to the Mackmyra destillery

Well, it's a bit worn down and could use some fix here and there.

I loved the old buidling, with creaky woodden floors, breakfast and lunch area super nice in 19th century style. very good food for breakfast, quality cheese and meat products. and I loved the old style. made a lot of pictures. the room was rather just standard. but thats what i asked for.

It was sad to see how the house is falling apart. My guess is that there isn’t any money to renovate. The staff we met was nice. Urgent change should be to take away ashtrays right outside the entrance doors

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, even though we had to ask for normal, non-lactose-free milk two mornings out of three. Beautiful house and surroundings.

About everything in the room that could be broken was broken or didn't work correctly: light switches and power outlets with half the casing cracked/missing and wiring visible (a fire hazard), holder for toilet paper missing, holes and cracks in walls, pulldown blinds would either not stay down, or wouldn't roll up, had to ask to get towels replaced, and some of the presumed clean towels were dirty with yellow stains. We had read about some of these problems in other reviews but decided to give this nice old house a chance. The price is hard to beat for 4 beds which we needed. But it's hard to understand why these problems remain unfixed. Some of them are really basic.

The staff was very polite and helpful. They even offered me authentic swedish cuisine after the official hours of the restaurant. Rooms are comfortable and very nostalgic.

Inner hotel doors were locked during breakfast so I had to walk through the gravel courtyard. Parking is also on gravel, so wear outdoor shoes when you leave the room
