Exceptional location on Furnas Lake itself. Wonderful old house with charm surrounded by water and woods. They lend you bikes to go around the lake, which is a wonderful trail (also for walking), about 6 km. The chapel and the gardens form part of the property, and you get a key to wander through them as much as you like. We went to the waterfall several times, alone. Lost in paradise. They also have kayaks for you to use. There are big fish in the lake, and it is a wonderful exercise. Furnas village is nearby and has supermarkets and some good restaurants. Be sure to learn about the history of the property and the area.

Location could not be better, the charm and pitoresque are unique. The house has all appliances you may need. Owner and staff are grrat and welcoming. Having a private park / woods is lovely.

It is a lovely old house, and being old means humidity, cold. There are heaters and all but it is not confortable as a newer house. It is the price for the charm.

Casa dos Barcos really is a wonderful lakeside location, with access to kayaks and bikes, lakeside walks and after hours access to Mata Jardim José do Canto. There's a local produce basket to welcome you on day 1 and heating throughout. So even the rainy days are just toasty! Highly recommended!

Amazing! Fantastic location, grand house, availability of chapel 150 m from the house and 24 hour access to botanical garden right across. Use of bikes and kayaks. Perfect welcome basket. This property is certainly one of a kind.
