The rooms and bathrooms were nice.

Common areas of hotel were only mediocre with few communal spaces. It’s a villa essentially with about 12-15 rooms. Some of the reception staff were poor and didn’t follow up when I advised that the AC was set to 26 degrees. There was a lack of training and proper management evident we felt. The outside eating area was very poor with an outdoor kitchen effectively serving lunch and dinner. Breakfast is inside in a lovely room.

Location and staff. Good staging with a Vespa and 2 Fiat 500 permanently sitting in place. Crates of special wines like Sassicaia sit in the breakfast/bar area. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and willing to help.

Details that make it a true 4 star hotel were missing such as: Air conditioning never went below 24 . Not ideal for anyone used to sleeping at 21/22 degrees Celsius or under(70-71 Fahrenheit). Bathroom has no ventilation and therefore opening a window aggravates the problem. The pool had some algae in it and not enough shady areas to lay down and to keep the water temperature colder. We noticed that our usual breakfast table had round cup stains where coffee cups sat just off the table runners for 3 consecutive days. There was nobody manning the Wellness Ctr or pool area and we looked everywhere for towels until we returned to the front desk to ask for them.Also , the sauna was out of order all 4 days we were there. Dinner was outdoors and we were attacked by biting mosquitoes. No attention was made by the location to deter mosquitoes. The location has no natural breeze we experienced the 4 nights there to help with outdoor dining or poolside activities. The internet connection was unstable. The elevator light in the airway flickered for 4 days. Some of the modern touches took away from the magic and history of the overall experience. Modern amenities with old world finishings and touches would have been a better experience.

Staff weren’t amazing. Had to pay 6euro for eggs at breakfast which was strange. Fridge in our room didn’t work. No pool towels and not changed over during a 3 day stay.

Lovely place to stay just outside of Cortona. Easy access to the town but away from the hassle and bustle. Very peaceful beautiful place, with lovely breakfast. The heated outdoor spa was a great place to relax and watch to sun go down. Loved our stay.

Perhaps a little more information about the surrounding area, restaurants etc would be helpful. No coffee in the room.

wish they could provide shuttle bus 3 x’s day

Unable to walk to Cortona and every taxi ride (4km) was 20 euros. Would love the resort to own a shuttle and reduce this limitation.

we ordered the junior suit, which is in a separate building, can arrive there by car but didn't tell us that so we carried our suitcases on a dirt road with no help which was not a great beginning.. the suit had a smell like no one had stayed there for a while.. there was no soap in the bottles, the spa bath was not really working.. we were disappointed...

Staff were amazing for our trip. They are very friendly and considerate. We were very grateful for their kindness.

Location to town center

The hotel location is perfect. 5 minute drive to Cortona, ample parking. rooms were very comfortable. Hotel restaurant was execllent.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The resort is beautiful. Two pools with beautiful gardens. Staff go out of there way to meet our needs. We were having trouble getting taxi's due to the high volume of tourists here right now but the Resort staff offered to drive us to the Cortona cente for dinner reservations etc. They don't have a shuttle service here and taxi's are limited. The resort is about 15 mins from Cortoo Centre if you don't have a car, make sure you book all the taxi's you need in advance with the front desk as well as your restaurant reservations.

A shuttle service to and from Cortona. Coffee making options in our room. Other than that everything was so perfect. Thanks Cortona Resort and Spa to all of you for a fabulous stay, we were well taken care of throughout our stay.

The air conditioners didn't work well. No one knew how to work them. The rooms need to be cool when people arrive, other wise it will never cool down.

At full capacity, despite the 2 pools, very poor privacy with sunbeds very close to each other. Hard time to relax by the "spa" pool which is either partially in the shade or overcrowded throughout the day. Spa very minimal. Concierge staff very friendly but seems to be a bit unorganized. Same during lunch and dinner. Rooms need touch-ups in order to reflect the 4stars Luxury they're so proud of. Signs of mold in the bedroom and bathroom facilities could be better.

Villa Aurelia is a beautiful property in a beautiful setting, away from the crowds and impossible parking of Cortona, but close enough for an easy visit. My room, in a small building separate from the main hotel, was lovely, the swimming pools were clean and beautiful and the restaurant served very good food. The chef even packed me an excellent picnic lunch on a day that I was going out to explore the Tuscan countryside in my rental car.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location and excellent pool and chill out areas. Breakfast was good and the restaurant in the grounds offers good shade under the trees and good local food at lunchtime and dinner

We thought the hotel was in walking distance of Cortona. As the bird flies this is true, however, the gradient uphill is very steep and not something you would want to do in the heat. Taxis here are expensive
