Frokosten var tip top, mye utvalg og litt varm mat om man skulle ønske det. Vertskapet var hyggelige og behjelpelige. Rommet sto til forventning og renholdet var tip topp. Hadde et fint opphold mens jeg var på en arbeidsreise i grimstad. Vertshuset er også veldig nærme matbutikk, E18, og det er ikke mer enn en liten gå tur ned til sentrum om man vil teste ut litt av hva grimstad har å tilby.

It was easy to find the hotel after turning from the highway E18, but see below. It is a simple hotel but for staying overnight when being on vacation it is great. They do have a few charging outlets for your electric car, but not any super chargers. The breakfast was OK but did not have everything I was looking for.
As it is very close to the highway E18 it in this case means that it takes some 10-15 minutes to walk down to the center of Grimstad, which is were you find all restaurants etc. Driving down is not the best option as it is a small town with narrow streets...

Good location, very quiet, plenty of parking space. Beds are alright, it's very clean as well. Breakfast is very good and the staff was very pleasant. Not a bad place to stay overall.
The kitchenette had just a microwave and a bridge, no stovetop. No proper cutlery, just a few wooden forks and paper plates. No hair dryer either.

The personnel welcoming, helpfulness and service minded.
A shed was made accessible to lock-in our e-bikes.
We could gather around a good bottle of red wine (available to a reasonable price), in an open-TV-lounge before going to bed.
Good beds, very clean room, quite area.
Good breakfast ended with delicious "home made" apple-rhubarb pie.
Distance to town center (about 20' walk)… but compensated by the quietness of the area.

The staff was extremely nice and friendly! Upon my arrival I was upgraded from a room for one to a big apartment with bed space for 3 people, a nice couch, TV and everything

Good location just outside village centre, and easy parking. Grimstad vertshus makes sense for one-night stopover.
It all looks a bit dated, the rooms are more motel like than you would expect from a "vertshus". Limited breakfast choices but ample space in dining room which was good during the pandemic. Staff could be friendlier (by European standards). One night is good but I wouldnt stay for longer periods of time i.e. holidays.
