I had booked this property in Nov 2020 to start my 60th birthday celebrations. I had read a few reviews so was expecting the hill to be steep but was expecting the property to be cleaner than it was, despite recent reviews. The cottage which we were offered at the last minute due to 2 bedrooms being out of bounds due to fire regs was damp and dirty, wet plaster between lounge and kitchen and a dehumidifier in lounge. My friends who had the use of the cottage had to spend time cleaning it and did not sleep well. The main house we all agreed is stunning however does need a bit of TLC and some of the rooms could do with a good clean. Some of the bedrooms were fine others were dusty and ensuites mouldy. One of the single beds was broken. We had workpeople wandering around for 2 days. I was informed about the first day, they were sorting one of the bathrooms, but had to query 2nd day. At no point was I told about the heating engineer, he was found coming out of the cellar by one of my friends. He fitted a new panel which meant we then had no hot water the following morning, however Doug fixed that for us. We had a caterer and having put plates in the Aga to heat she found that someone had put a clean plate on top of dirty plates so had to hand clean them all. One of the table clothes was found to be stained. Overall the property is in a great location. The grounds are good. The hot tub and pool was used during our stay with no complaints. The house itself could be so much better with just a few adjustments. A full deep clean and new table linen would go a long way to making this house so much better. Oh and a brighter light in the kitchen. It currently has a single pendant light in middle of room and a fluorescent light above window some distance from the cooker. I will keep an eye on this property as with a few tweaks it could be such a better place to stay. It is ideal for larger groups and for those unable to climb the hill back a taxi is not too expensive. I wish the owners all the best with their renovations and hope the work to improve the property continues.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the cleanliness of the house. Plus it was very run down and in desperate need of modernisation. The pool was murky and green and unable to be used despite the efforts of the owner to clear the water. Thankfully the gardens are very pretty.

We had a lovely family stay to celebrate my Mothers Birthday. Even in October the house was lovely and warm with wood provided to have an open fire, which we took full advantage of!! Rooms and beds where comfortable and clean. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the hot tub, you will need a torch for the walk back to the house! Overall great stay, we hired a mobility scooter which was the only way for a family member to get up the hill, you need to be fit or prepared to drive out and park up for the day as it is a bit isolated and on a very long steep hill.

We had a fantastic stay at Landaviddy Manor! Plenty of space with en suite bathrooms in most rooms. The kitchen and dining room were good communal spaces. The BBQ area was enjoyed by everyone with views of the large beautiful garden. The location is really handy for popping into town but far enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful. It is also well situated for day trips to the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Communication with the property manager was always quick and efficient.

Huge house that has the lot, space for all our needs. Even had the surprise of an outdoor pool. Grounds for the dogs to run were lovely. Spent most of the time in the bar, pool and hot tub. The steep hill walk to the town was hard work for some and the narrow roads were not nice to navigate, however they did not stop this house and holiday being a huge hit. Highly recommended, thanks for some amazing memories.

It was exactly as we expected, both the style of the property (dated but with a certain charm) and location. Quite a steep climb back from Polperro so guests need to be fairly fit, and if they're not, they will be by the end of the holiday! All of us had a great time.

Landaviddy Manor has a real sense of warmth and is a great place to gather a large family or group of friends. Previously in use as a hotel, the bar is a very useful addition as a place to gather or indeed use for its original purpose. The bedrooms have a plentiful supply of bathrooms either en suite or adjacent and the kitchen with its aga is classic country living. Polperro is the quintessential Cornish fishing village and the South Coast path is a short stroll away. We loved it.

Property fairly old and tired in places but this did not detract from the good time we had. More wine glasses would be welcome. We loved the bar and all bedrooms were comfortable. Lovely area for a holiday despite the narrow lanes that have to be negotiated nearby.

The property is situated in a beautiful spot with fantastic gardens, it is very attractive. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean including bedding and towels. The hot tub was in good condition although the decking was extremely slippery, you need to be careful. The kitchen was well equipped and although very old the aga worked well. We were a family party celebrating an important birthday. The house worked well for us. We ate in and out and all enjoyed the walks in such a beautiful area. We knew a lot of places so we knew what to expect. The caretaker Dougie was very helpful and obviously cared about his job. The interior of the property is old fashioned so someone expecting your blue and white Cornish decor would be disappointed. Personally if I was to make a change that I think would improve the property it would be the main lounge as it does look tired. To paint the walls, lift the rug and put up some soft curtains would transform it very easily. I would probably include the dining room as well, but these are just my opions. But we would stay at the house again and our weekend was what we wanted it to be. Regards Marie Neil

The accommodation was good, a well equipped kitchen and enough room for the 16 guests in our group. Some of the showers were better than others but genythere was plenty of hot water. Having a real fire was fabulous and really warmed the house up.

21 people all housed in this spacious Manor House, superb hot tub and idea for walk down to centre of Polperro

The property was very spacious and perfect for our large group. It is located close enough to town to access things on foot and lovely seaside walks. We would definitely stay here again. All of the rooms are gorgeous and comfortable and we made full use of the large dining space, jacuzzi and the house pub! Polperro itself was very sweet for walks, the model village museum, eating pasties and visiting pubs.

We had a fantastic weekend staying here with a group of friends, there was plenty of space for 6 families, lovely grounds and having its own pub was the icing on the cake. My 7 year old daughter said it was her best weekend ever! We plan to come back! Polperro was beautiful and well worth a visit in itself - I highly recommend getting a boat ride great way to see the sites

Lots of lovely moments from tea in kitchen by a warm aga to soaking in the hot tub under the stars, from drinks by the harbour in the Blue Peter to the peace and beauty of the 900 year old church at Lansallos.

Look, the first thing to say is that if you are looking for a modern, spotless, luxury manor house, then you are going to be disappointed! The house is not modern, it needs money spending on it and a bit of love and attention. That being said, we had a fantastic time at the house. The size was great including the kitchen and dinning room, with plenty of tableware and cutlery. The grounds were beautiful and the hot tub was great. The great benefit is the bar area, and even though we are not ones for pubs, it was a focal area for us to all gather in the evening and have some fun. The house is in a fantastic location with just a five minute walk to Polperro. Warning though that the walk back is very steep. Dougie was great. He was there if you needed him, but never intrusive. In summary, the house is good value for money. If this house was perfect, modern and spotless it would probably be double the price. If you can put up with tired bathrooms, carpets and decor, you will have a great time.....just like we did.

This is very large house in a very scenic place. Ideal for large groups who want to be together and bond. Bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped (although none of us knew on how to cook using an Aga) - luckily there was an electric cooker. The well maintained garden, the BBQ area and hot tub are a great addition. My suggestion to people planning on renting this place is to do a few groceries before getting here. The walk into the town center is fun doing downhill, but is extremely steep and arduous getting back. The only other criticism is that although the wi-fi signal is good in the main lounge, it does not reach most of the bedrooms and that's a big problem for kids. Having some wifi signal boosters would certainly help. In overall terms, this is a great place and I would not heistate in recommending it to anyone.

Beautiful manor , equipt with everything you could ever need. The grounds were amazing and so vast. The decking/ hot tub and bbq area were a big hit. Wouldnt hesitate to book again.

We stayed in the property for a family reunion of 14 and couldn't have wished for better accommodation! The facilities and space were fantastic catering to all our needs, a beautiful Manor House with lovely gardens to relax and unwind in! A great location to Polperro with ample parking at the house for all and a nice walk up and down the hill into town. We take away many fond memories of our 20 year reunion of family members from around the Globe in a house that made it just perfect! The service we received in booking our stay was exceptional with any questions answered promptly. Thank you again, next time we visit England we will be back!!

Great house for large group and celebrations. The hot-tub in the well kept garden is a welcome addition.

We booked Landaviddy Manor for my 50th birthday celebrations. There were different generations of the family and we found that there was something for everyone. We all loved it, would love to come again.
