Palm Key was a perfect home for my husband and I with our dog for 2 weeks. It is in a nice residential neighborhood with not a lot going on be we did enjoy neighborhood walks and backyard playtime with the dog. What's great about the location is the proximity to both Folly Beach and Charleston which we thoroughly enjoyed. The house itself is immaculate and provisioned with anything you would hope for - from beach chairs and kitchen spices to laundry detergent and charging cables. Lee and Kim were responsive and flexible. We hope to be able to visit this area again and will definitely stay at Palm Key when we do

While my wife and I were not able to join our daughter and son-in-law at Palm Key in Charleston this year, we were able to gift our stay at Palm Key to them for an amazing stay in one of the best places in the South. Our family called and texted daily with all the incredible visits they made to all the sights Charleston had to offer. They ate at incredible restaurants moments from the house and enjoyed evenings on the beach located 10 minutes away. Kim and Lee made our family's stay very special with a well prepared and nicely equipped home, which made experimenting with a few recipes easy to do. My wife and I hope to enjoy a stay at Palm Key again in 2025, as I know my daughter and son-in-law will do too.

We came to James Island to visit our son, his wife and 4 grandchildren. We were very busy during the day with the family but my husband and I needed something close by to retreat to in the evenings and overnight. This property was perfect for our needs. Very clean, well appointed and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Couldn’t of asked for a better setup and location.

Loved the Christmas decorations. Property was “as advertised “ with extra nice Christmas decor! Clean. Quiet and convenient location. Beds were comfortable. Well equipped kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the extra holiday touches were beautiful.

The unit was very nice and extremely clean. We didn't use the kitchen much but it had everything you needed to eat in. Beds were very comfortable bathrooms were nice. The only suggestion is more seating in the living room. For the two of us it was fine.

We had a great stay with our two dogs. Went to Folly Beach in the mornings and Downtown Charleston in the evenings, both easy drives. Also found some restaurants/bars on we really liked on James Island. House was clean and well stocked. Good times!

We had a great experience here. The place was cozy and comfortable. It was close enough to Folly Beach (around a 7-minute drive) and downtown Charleston (a 20-minute drive) that we could enjoy all the sites! And wasn't in a crowded area. Nice backyard with a firepit and all the amenities you could ask for from home! We will definitely come back here for our next Charleston visit.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Lee and Kim go above and beyond for their guest and it shows in every special little detail. They are the true definition of southern hospitality and their home is stunning and stocked with every essential you could possibly think of. Will definitely book again, as Charleston area is a frequent home away from home to my family and I.

Had everything we needed and more! I have never stayed in a rental so well stocked. They had everything we could need for our kiddos too (pack-N-play, high chair, toys). The location was also perfect for going to both Folly Beach and Charleston. Very clean, and on a quiet street too. Would 100% stay here again.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The property is very well maintained , spotless clean and comfortable . It has a large garden area which would be ideal if staying with a dog. The area is really quiet but close to many amenities and Folly Beach. The hosts were very quick to respond . It’s an ideal property for 2 couples.

We stayed at Palm Key in Feb 2023, we’ve been to Charleston many times but wanted to explore the James and John Island side. This was a perfect location for what we were looking for… super close to area amenities and about 15 minutes to downtown. There are two bedrooms but the space was great for the 2 of us, it might be a little tight for 4 people but the price was right and location good.

Palm Key is an amazing find of ours near Folly Beach and beautiful Charleston parks. The home has been our winter getaway for two years and will be our stay again next year. Its location is conveniently placed near shopping and all of Charleston's sites. Palm Key sits in a wonderful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. A beautiful walk down Oceanview Road to one of Charleston's several river inlets is most enjoyable, especially at sunset. Folly Beach and county parks are within short drives from Palm Key, where we took many walks with our dog (Snickers). The cozy comforts to Palm Key include the clean furnishings and amazingly stocked kitchen. My wife and I found sleeping and entertaining a couple family guests very comfortable. Cooking is made easy with the fully stocked kitchen, including all the spices and supplements necessary to make amazing meals. There are also ample choices of restaurants in the area to meet those other meal needs. The yard is roomy and secure. The beautiful, high fence made it possible for Snickers to enjoy hours of play and fun with the family. The size allowed her to run at full gallop and chase her ball. It is also a great source for outdoor meals. Most importantly, the owners, Kim and Lee Mullinax, are very friendly and work hard to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They are also a good source of information about the area and Charleston sites. We look forward to returning next year and making more Charleston memories.

this place is spot on in the details. Fully set up for cooking in, hanging out, and convenient to almost everything Charleston. Folly Beach is a really quick ride and beautiful beaches with a little beach town feel. The hosts were great and as advertised very private and just leave you alone unless you need something! highly recommend

Kim and Lee we excellent hosts that thought of every little special detail. It was great to have a Christmas tree on Christmas. Also, with the unusual winter storm, the hot water pipes froze, and they resolved it immediately. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Overall great place to stay.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Charleston. If you want to be just out of the city this is a great location. It is very clean and well maintained. Property owner has many touches in this rental which make it very comfortable with everything you need to be right at home. Easy to get to great restaurants downtown and great restaurants on John’s Island! We recommend this property and would stay here again.

The property was great! The owners had beach chairs, boogie board, Bluetooth speaker, Netflix and a fiirepit to use. The kitchen was clean and well appointed with the essentials. Great location being five minutes from the beach. Love, love, loved it!
