We had a very pleasant stay at DD Hut! The staff were able to accomodate adding an extra bed to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean and was cleaned every day and towels were replaced. It was in a superb location- right next to the beach and main strip of shops, and the view from the pool was gorgeous. DD Hut also provided a free shuttle to the port when we left.

We had pool villa view for 3 nights. Everything was just perfect, friendly service esp. the owner. My husband and I were enjoying the most riding the motorcycle which you can rent right around the corner. Everything is accessible. The hotel’s restaurant is in front just a few second. They also provide the other restaurant called Seaside and you should not have missed it, the food is so fresh with unbelievable view, along with so so excellent super friendly service. The location is in central, just 2-3 mins walking to Sairee beach with numerous bars and fresh premium seafoods. The hotel also provides free taxi from hotel to harbor. We’d definitely be back!

The breakfast is not so much choosable, they have just 8 choices (maybe a bit more) and almost all of those are western foods which is not what we typically wish to eat in Thailand. Anyways the porridge soup + Patongo is nice like local food, but they should definitely add thai food options.

Pat and the crew were very friendly. Free transpot to the peir. Good breakfast. Great location, close to the beach and pubs/restaurants but not too close so it was very nice and quiet.

The room was boiling hot when we arrived, the a/c goes off when you take the key from the room so every time we went back the room was hot and we had to wait about 30 min so the a/c would chill it. Sheets were a bit stained, and in the bathroom was a bad smell all the time and also at the pool area.

The seaview from the honeymoon suite is exceptional and the whole Beach House is spacious and decorated in a lovely way. The bed is super comfortable so we slept like babies. The breakfast is varied and copious so you start your day in a beautiful way. The small infinity pool is a great spot to chill and admire the sea from (sunset side). The staff is also very kind and helpful, they will offer to book for you what you need if they can. Overall the location of the hotel is central, so it's extremely easy to explore around, preferably with a scooter, except for Sairee beach area which is enjoyable by foot. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.

The WiFi needs an upgrade as it is frustratingly slow. Also there is sometimes no water pressure in the bathroom, which makes washing long hair quite difficult.

Amazing location not too far from the center of town. We stayed in the pool villa which was an absolute treat. The view was beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and lovely. We loved it. Thank you DD Hut

No real dislikes, though I was a bit disappointed that the snorkel equipment that was said to to be available was mostly broken and simply not available. Koh Tao is really a wonderful place for snorkeling and scuba, so they should really have that available (especially as advertised) for their guests.

Great view specially for sun set, pool and location - central but quiet, close to Sairee Beach, great breakfast. Scooter direct to be rented by DD Hut. The local beaches are quite small but you can see much better for snorkel as Sairee beach.

We loved Koh Tao! and our accommodation and people there made our stay! DD Hut had a very comfortable rooms, we enjoyed sea view in this very beautiful spot of the island. You might think it is just between the pier and the village…, however, it is the best view of the west coast and the best location because you are fast to the village (5 min walking) and the pier (10 min walking), you have a wonderful hotel reception that will help to organize each day at your best wish, you are fast and safe to restaurants and massage salons, Thai cooking course, any trips will fetch you from this hotel and bring you back. Even if you take a taxi, everybody knows this place and many know Pet:-) …Pet who takes care of every guest, who loves the island and tell you where to go, who will make sure you have a boat at the best price and just very friendly warm person welcoming you every morning:-) Our rooms were clean, cleaning every day, comfortable, very easy-going, any request is fulfilled. Beach towels are changed every day, you have a beach bag, free water bottles, tea/coffee as much as you like, fridge, bathroom with warm water. Place to seat outside, to dry the clothes. The restaurant Seaside is a very good one, don‘t miss it. They have delicious sea food, spicy local food if you like, cocktails, wines and all were so tasty! Seashell restaurant in the village is also to recommend, especially if you prefer EU food. We loved Freedom beach at windy days, it is like a tale, calm water, beautiful trees, restaurant, anything to relax you. The tour around island made our memories, turtles and sharks…we still watch our videos:-) If we are back to Koh Tao, then DD Hut and Heritage (neighbors) hotels will be our destination! Heritage hotel left unforgettable impressions… simply clean and beautiful and comfy. Thanks to Pet & the Team for the wonderful memories and unforgettable experience in Koh Tao!

Sometimes there was no hot water but it did not bother us as the „cold“ one is not et all so cold as at home:-)

Staff is friendly and nice. She offers to pick me up at the pier. The location is convenient and close to city center. Bed is comfy

Pat, the host, made sure we had an amazing time here. She picked us up at the pier, showed us which tours were best to do and so on. The view and room is amazing as well as is the location.

Sometimes we had a bit of a smell in the bathroom after some rain, but for us this honestly was no problem. Everything else makes the stay worth the while.

When I think about my stay at DD Hut, the only thing that comes to mind is the song: “Haven, I’m in haven and my hurt bits so that I can hardly see…” Yep… haven.

The receptionist Patty was wonderful. She is so helpful and always a smile what makes you happy.. she arranged one of the best snorkel trips for us.

The balcony needs repairs.

Well located between the two major beaches and with a beautiful view. had a lot of space in my room and the staff was extraordinary friendly. They gave me free breakfasts for the “““inconvenience“““ of being booked into a larger room than usual.

Known problem with smell in the bathroom, but you can just leave a window open or ask for help and the staff will take care of it.

The best thing is undoubtedly the location. It is in the most atmospheric area of the island (understanding that it is a very quiet environment), near the port and the main road. Pati, is the girl at the reception. She is the best of the hotel, very attentive and always ready to help you. The restaurant on the beach, we didn't try it but the food looks very good. The cocktails were very good. Next to the hotel, where we rented the motorcycle, there are supermarkets too.

Perhaps the cleanliness is not its best virtue, and maybe it should be renovated a little bit, but I would definitely repeat.

I stayed in a bungalow with sea view, and the view was fantastic indeed. There was the pool and then the blue sea. For a solo traveller it feels a bit of waste to stay in place with such a romantic feel, but I did enjoy my stay and made good use of the facilities (the swimming pool above all). The staff are very helpful and they assisted me with information about the island, booked a tour for me, and they even offered more assistance that I did not need at the end. The interior of the bungalows is quite good, with a comfortable bed, air con, and laptop safe and a small desk too.

The beach right downstairs is a rocky beach, and I knew this ahead. I planned to do some snorkeling but sadly the tide was too low. There was no way of getting in the water and swim. I suppose this is something that varies, and of course beyond the hotel's control. But I think that overall, if you want to swim or dive in Koh Tao, you'll need a boat. The town centre is a bit of a walk, and if you drive a scooter you'll be fine, but if you don't, get ready to give your legs some workout.
