Beautiful view from patio. Well stocked with coffee, tea, other drinks, and tasty treats. They even gave me a gift bag with products and chocolate. Very clean and comfortable.
The only thing was that access to property was down flagstone steps without a handrail. I had to go down sideways to avoid tripping.

There was no breakfast. I also specifically ask about decaf and it was not there when we arrived. The pictures and even some of the comments are misleading. We thought we were staying at a bed-and-breakfast not in the basement of somebody’s home. Somebody’s home that were just up the steps from where we were at. It was very uncomfortable for that reason. And the place is just over done in every way. Too many pictures. Too many books. Too many games. Too much stuff everywhere. But again mostly we were disappointed because we also did not realize there was only one bathroom that we might’ve been sharing with another family. Luckily, there was no other family there when we were there , I would not come back here again. And we did actually unbelievably end up knowing somebody that lived in the neighborhood who said these people probably have not let the neighborhood association know that they are renting out part of their home. That is probably not a good thing , I know they’re trying to do something fun and nice for them, but it did not turn out to be that way
Bigger bed a private bathroom in case there was another family staying there more area to sit and eat or share a meal. Would’ve been nice if it was a bed and breakfast and not just a queen bed.

We had an amazing one week getaway at Chateau Du Pikes Peak! Our hosts, Samantha and Shane, were kind, welcoming and accommodating. They are genuinely good people. Their home is located in an upscale community just north of Colorado Springs and is convenient to several good food, shopping and entertainment options. Their guest guide book contains thorough details regarding appliance/TV operation and lists numerous food and activity recommendations, however I suggest doing your due diligence in advance to find the best food/activity options for your personal preferences. The view from the property is fantastic, and there are multiple outdoor seating options to take it all in. We stayed in the Pasteur Suite, which shares the same stunning views as the back yard. The living areas were clean, well-appointed and stocked with all the essentials. On the few occasions we asked for something, it was provided in a timely and gracious manner. The communication between the hosts and us was thorough and easy. Check in and check out were a breeze. We particularly enjoyed the bar area (bring your own alcohol), the dorm sized fridge/freezer, the theater room (currently no DVD player, but lots of Direct TV and streaming channels), and the gas fire pit (weather permitting).
Of course nothing is perfect, so here are some things to be aware of before booking. None of them impacted my rating nor our enjoyment of the property.
As stated clearly on their description, the only access to the rental unit is down the side of the home across a rock stairway/pathway. This can be tricky if you have any kind of mobility issues (natural or induced). The HVAC is controlled from the owners’ residence upstairs, which could be an issue if you need a temperature change when the owners are off-premise or otherwise unavailable. We did not run into any issues in that regard. Because you are in the basement of the owners’ home, you will hear some noise from upstairs and also some plane/train noise from outside. The owners do their best to minimize any disturbance, but it honestly can’t be 100% avoided. Our solution was a small, variable speed fan by the bedside (or bring a sound machine or earplugs if you prefer). If you are shorter in stature, the bathroom counter height in addition to the tall bowl style sinks may be an issue for you. Lastly, they do have a no shoes in carpeted areas policy. They provide disposable slippers, but it is better to just bring your own “inside only” slippers from home if you have them. As noted, these items are given as helpful and informative observations, not “dings” against the owners or the property.

Beautiful home and attentive hosts. Great location in a quiet and upscale neighborhood. Our hostess gave us lots of helpful suggestions. Immaculate guest suite! The theatre room was very cool as well.
Was a bit formal regarding all the rules and signs saying "for display only". It was also bit cluttered with their personal mementos. Other than that no complaints.

We loved everything about this property and it was so close to SO MUCH activities. Perfect place to stay if you want to be in short range of doing everything in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Manitou, and even Denver.

The property is stunningly beautiful, immaculate and very well kept, quiet and well run. The view of Pikes Peak doesn’t get any better.

The common area was beautiful, and the theater room was extremely comfortable to watch TV. Best of all was the view of Pike's Peak and the Rockies right outside on the patio.
I wish we had booked the Pasteur Room with the en suite bath for convenience, but our room was very comfortable.

Beautiful
Great decor
Someone was watching us on cameras and my son dropped us off and parked in the driveway for 20 min tops and I received a text to not park there. Additionally I have never stayed in an “air bnb” which this is just a rental in a basement, where someone comes in and straightens the towels while you are gone. It was like being in the sleeping with the enemy movie.

Selected this property for my son and GF to take some time to relax while visiting family. Here’s their comments: Absolutely amazing retreat! Beautiful property. Clean, emasculate, nice personal touches that made you feel as if you were at a luxury retreat. Tuscan colors and beautiful decor. Didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay. Home theater, outdoor private patio and fire pit allowed us to relax and take in Colorado beauty! Thank you so much for helping us re-charge. Looking forward to a future repeat visit! 🙂👍👍💕💗 Brian and Angela

The arrangement with the separate entrance and access to the living/theater room.
Views from rear patio.
A little bit inconvenient to drive for breakfast each morning,
not a deal breaker though.
