This is one of the best properties I have stayed at. Extremely clean, well thought out, modern, new, great view of waves and the beach, some amenities for children, beautiful location, very charming thoughtful kind owner 😃

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay here, visiting family residing in the area. The property was exactly as advertised, very clean and lovely and extraordinarily well outfitted with a great kitchen. Outstanding views, extraordinarily quiet and private and perfect little retreat. With the sunroom and the space available for out-of-doors enjoyment, this would be even more spectacular in the spring, summer and fall. For a winter visit the only shortcoming was that there was a beautiful fireplace that we were asked not to use and which would have been perfect for cool rainy days and nights. Thanks to Rich for his warm welcome and intro to the home.

March 2021 Stay
The Beach House was perfect! Gorgeous view and location. The home had all the conveniences and the beds were very cozy. We loved being able to kayak just a few steps from the back door.

January 2021 Stay
We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was well equipped with top of the line dishes, pots/pans etc. So clean and the beds and linen were excellent. Would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself. With exception of the rare snowfall, everything was excellent!! Maggie Lougheed

This was a very nice home right on a beautiful beach. It is perfect for three couples. It was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. It’s a bit older but some really great improvements have been made. There were just a couple of minor things that needed fixing which we mentioned. Would recommend this property.

January 2022 Stay
We enjoyed our time at Kye Bay! The location is wonderful and the property too. The kitchen is very well stocked with every utensil and pot you would need! The beds and bedding are very comfortable...we all slept well. Thank you!

Amazing Beachfront property!
We loved our stay, and the kids said “this would be even better in the summer, can we come back in the summer!?” My only recommendation is to streamline the reservation and check in process. Compared to Airbnb I felt like I had so much paperwork and too many emails to sort through in order to book.

Somewhat pricey, however, it was Xmas & prices for hotel/rental places tend to increase. Although, it was a great value.
The kitchen had all the amenities you need to make a variety of meals.
The house was sufficient for grandparents & family of 4 as there 2 bedrooms & full bath on 2nd for, and another bedroom on main, with access to another bathroom.
No open fires allowed (wood burning), but propane fire pts are acceptable.
The inside fire place was unusable, and the Apple TV was not user friendly. The TV is a Roku Samsung which is not indicated in the listing & probably helpful for people to know.
The solarium is a nice added touch, had the weather co-operated it could have been used as an extra sitting/play area for the kids. As a suggestion space heaters would have been added bonus to sit & watch the birds and seals in the ocean.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

December 2021 Stay
Lovely vacation home for our Christmas get together with the kids & grandkids. The house had all the amenities required for our one week. Although the weather did not co-operate.
The only downfall was using the Apple TV and accessing the wi-fi on IPad, but cell picked up wi-fi no problem. Perfect house for 2 families to enjoy.
Unfortunately, no open fires were allowed.
Great scenery & got to see seals play in the ocean, right in front of beach house, as well as some other wild life.
The solarium is nice, but would have been better if it is heated during the winter, just to sit in it & enjoy the view.

Beautiful location, roomy house, very clean and tidy. Could use a few more basic amenities in the kitchen, easier access to Netflix/Prime (difficult to work the Apple TV). Would definitely stay here again with a group of friends.

We loved the home. It was very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect. We loved that it had a deck and a yard so we didn't feel like we were on top of our neighbours. We took our kayaks out for a lovely paddle and were kept company by the many seals.

Great spot; spotlessly clean
We really enjoyed our stay at Kay Bay. The house was well stocked and absolutely spotless, and the waterfront location was tough to beat. We'll definitely be back!

We were very happy with our 3 day stay with our son at this Kye Bay, Comox location. We had a little glitch upon arrival when the door code didn't work, but cheerful Candice from EMR was available instantly, via cell phone, and was able to give us a back up code. Aside from the beautiful, peaceful location, we found many other amenities that were abundantly thoughtful in making our stay even more pleasant: almost every kitchen gadget you can imagine, several games, puzzles, and interesting books on shoreline birds, whales etc., flashlights, plastic wrap, tinfoil, wax paper, napkins, etc., good lighting inside and out, detergent pucks for the washer, extra bedding and pillows, plus cosy throw blankets for the living room. We found the $250 cleaning fee, along with the other added fees, to be expensive, compared to others. That aside, however, all in all, we would say it was a successful 5 star stay.
