Superb location, peaceful. Parking outside. Beautiful terrace for breakfast and sitting in evening. Very helpful staff.

beautiful building and patio, lovely garden with good view .very clean and stylish decor .excellent breakfast and very friendly generous waitress at breakfast.
lack of welcome from the log guy on check-in. essentially handed us the keys and showed us the room but then clearly didn’t want to speak any further . didn’t give wifi passcode then was nowhere to be sen until next morning .There’s a pack of hounds( not sure who they belong to ) that were barking almost non stop for the whole odour stay .

Excellent location in a quiet village less then ten minutes drive from San Vicente de la Barquera. We enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful terrace.

Although limited English was spoken, until the final day when the host's daughter arrived, the hosts were perfectly charming, the facilities, lounge, terrace, dining room were excellent comparable to a very well kept and stylish residence.

Everything. The property is super peaceful and very well taken care of. It is only 5 minutes from the beach of Oyambre and 5 minutes from
San Vincente de la Barquera. The breakfast was delicious with both sweet and salty options. The staff is super nice and friendly. The owner is a very interesting man with plenty of local knowledge and stories

This is home! Well, I come from a big city so it is even better than home. Very quite place, you can only hear animals (dogs, cows, sheeps...). The property is very well cared, super comfy and clean, but the most brilliant thing, is Pepe, the owner and also the breakfast. Pepe looks after you like you were his family. The breakfast is home made by his family, eggs, bacon, cakes, bread with tomato and ham... all this in their patio surrounded by green landscape.
It has a library and also he leaves a book in every room. Everything is just excellent in Posada la Vieja Escuela. Thanks Pepe!!

It was exactly what it advertised. A simple hotel, but cheap with a very fair breakfast considering the price of the room.
The bed was slightly too old, nevertheless not too bad.
