Restauranten er av ypperste klasse. Smakfullt, raffinert og vinen er nøye utvalgt og tilpasset hver rett. Kunnskapsrik og koselig betjening som gjør det hele til en minnerik opplevelsen.
Når dette kombineres med flotte naturopplevelser og rolige omgivelser, gjør det ingenting at beliggenheten ikke er langs den slagne landevei - tvertimot. Har hatt muligheten til å nyte dette flere ganger og ser allerede fram til neste gang.
Ingenting vi ikke likte, bortsett fra at det går for lenge mellom hver gang vi er der.

A wonderful experience. The staff were really friendly and kind. It had snowed quite a lot the night we stayed, which made our stay even more magical.

The staff were very warm, and seemed happy to be working there. The hotel was a contrast in that it was inexpensive for Denmark, and fairly basic though perfectly comfortable, and there was a lovely view over the hills at the back, with a private patio. However the breakfast, included in the price, was incredible. This is a review of the hotel, but we ate at the restaurant in the evening we were there too, and that is an absolute gem. If you don't stay here, you should at least eat here.
It seems petty, and perhaps it is, but little things make smiles, and a happy bathroom has a least five hooks to hang things on (one hand towel, one for each member of a couple to hang their shower towels, and a couple more for clothes). There's plenty of room to add to the two button hangers there, so that'd be my one recommendation.👍

It’ not a value for money. The hotel has been pretending more than it is. Very small bathroom combined with a toilet, where you need to stay on the water after showering.

The breakfast was absolutly great. Big variety,very tasty. For me as a vegetarien a special vegerarien plate was served for me. My husband recieved a non vegetarien plate, also extrem good
Not the food, the exellent meal in the evening including the wine was really good and a big surprise for us. We never expected such an extraordinary restaurant in this " remote area".
The bathroom was simple, but with the necessary facilities.

After being confined to our apartment for our first year of marriage (thanks corona 😉) we decided to go on a hiking holiday and to finish the holiday by celebrating our wedding anniversary at Lyng Dal Hotel.
From the moment we stepped into the reception we were met with a warm atmosphere by the wonderful staff.
The food was even better than expected and the flexible menu left no wishes unfulfilled.
During dinner the staff was once again incredible. We loved hearing about the origins of the ingredients (many of which are grown in their own garden) and about the reason why they were chosen for this particular dish.
As wine lovers we were especially appreciates the perfect wine pairing Anita recommended.
Breakfast was just as delicious and the homemade malt-bread will stay in our memories for a while ;)
When we finished breakfast we both wondered what surely many people thought before: "Do we really have to leave?"
For us it was the perfect way to celebrate our love and we will definitely be back! But for now we can linger on the memories over a glass of Gl. Ry Gin & Tonic and dream of our next stay at this hidden gem in one of Denmark's most beautiful places.

Suberb location right in the middle of gorgeous nature and great walks. The friendliest and most accommodating hosts. And the fact that it was dog friendly.

The breakfast has really been outstanding and the host at the hotel was very kind. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday so it's definitively something to exploit during the next stay.
