La habitación con balcón tenía palomas (aves) en el techo y no dejaban dormir, eran las 4am y las palomas empezaron a molestar y hacer ruido en el techo y era incómodo poder dormirse nuevamente

La ubicación y la calidad de las camas.

La puerta hacia el balcón estaba sin llave y solamente la sostenia la cama. El ruido de las palomas fue terrible, casi no pude dormir. Le comenté a los de recepción y no fueron empáticos. Trataron de cambiar el tema.

the first room they gave us was in a building that was halfway done, the room was not that great and the beds weren’t even the ones we asked for, and i wasn’t aware there was ac room options. the front desk girl had a bad attitude and seemed like she was annoyed she had to help us, and then we “upgraded” the room to have ac and then the room had 5 super small beds..but it was better small beds than no ac.

Location. Secure parking. Very clean

The proximity to the town center is great and being able to go out and come back in at any time, even late at night - after hours - was a great benefit.

The staff was terrible and facilities were stuffy and very noisy. We booked for 2 nights. Several locals came during the night and early morning, making a lot of noise. The next morning we indicated this to the staff and said we are leaving. They hardly reacted and just said we could not get any money back. Our recommendation: take another ho(s)tel, lots of better choices in town.

Casa Vieja is located on a side road, which makes it quiet and perfect to rest, but it is also in a central area of the city, just a few blocks away from restaurants, bars, banks and only a block away from the supermarket. It has been my best choice in Matagalpa. I am sure I will book a room with them next time I am in Matagalpa for business or leisure. The owner Mr Joaquim and staff members Telma and Debora were outstanding and super nice.

The mattress of my bed seemed to be uneven on one side, probably just needing to be replaced. Other than that the room and bathroom were basic but excellent for the price and I really appreciated having hot water and the overall cleanliness.
