A cosy apartment. The location - for ski in and ski out. Quick responses if we had any questions.

We stayed for a week in this lovely apartment at the end of February. Everything was there. We didn't miss anything. The view is fantastic and so is the location. The owner is very friendly and we had personal contact, which we experienced as very pleasant. The caretaker can also help you. We have been able to ski to and from the apartment all week (or a red slope). We will definitely come back to this wonderful apartment and beautiful ski area.

You need a car to go to the city center. You can walk but it s all the way up.

Great views from the top floor. Spacious, comfortable apartment with all the essentials. If you are a good skier and/or have a car, the location is excellent and could save you some money. The apartment owner was wonderful, and there is a caretaker for the building on site who was lovely and helpful.

It was too far from the main town and our preferred ski lifts, for our family without a car who are blue run beginners. There is a bus but it is unreliable and the walk up the hill is hard at this altitude (2,000 m). In future we would probably book earlier and spend a little more to be down in the town. We knew there was no washing machine or microwave, but it would be really make the apartment more attractive. Apartment instructions could be more helpful, for example with information on the Ceilo Alto bus run by Arriva. The power shorted out but fortunately the owner/caretaker rectified it quickly.

Location and access to pistes.

More amenities needed in the kitchen. A microwave would really help food preparation. More glasses needed also.

Excellent views of the mountains. Good location, easy 5mins drive from the ski-lifts. Nicely furnished inside the property. 2 bathrooms, very useful for a family of 5, and quite spacious.

After reading some reviews of lacking in internet access, we contacted the owner about the issue and they said the internet will be available for when we get there. It was not, despite notifying the owner early, the internet still was not available for our stay. Very disappointed with that issue and repeatedly communicated with the owner about this during our stay. But no internet. Had to buy our own limited data from our own telecom company at a cost. We managed to negotiate a limited refund of the cost of our limited data, but still should not have been like that. We decided to leave a day earlier. If the property was marketed without internet access, the charges for our stay would have been very different.

Mr Bessi the caretaker met us and handed over the keys, showing us the locker and apartment. Even though it was nearly midnight when we arrived. Lovely owners who check that all was well through the stay. Quiet location but ski in and out even in April and a small shop and local restaurant to boot. Fab!

Could have a few more mugs for tea and coffee, but that is it, we loved it.

Larger than average apartment with family comforts, pretty decorations, two good size bathrooms. and very welcoming host and concierge. Very well equipped kitchen with gas/electric hobs, gas oven, dishwasher and electric kettle - much more than you normally find in a holiday ski rental. Wonderful views of Matterhorn and valley. Two lovely balconies overlooking Cieloalto.

It is ski in ski out but there are limits and you need to plan ahead.... SKI OUT: 20 metre walk form the apartment put on your skis and go (brilliant!). However, the slope you ski out onto finishes after 400m (Can be an icy well worm run). You then need to take off skis and walk up approx 400m up mildly steep steep public road to Gondola/Cable Car to Plan Maison. Pavement beside road is snowed over so need to walk in road so be careful if bringing children. There is one lift above the apartment which you can use and ski back to the apartment - this is the Cieloalto lift which serves a Red and Black run....it finishes in the same place by the road as described above. Ski In - Make sure you finish your day above the apartment above Cielo Alto from Cinque Laghi. Limited links from Cervinia town and Valtourneche. This is Cervinia - It has the Cerbino/Matterhorn, a great snow record Glacier (Swiss skiing if you fancy it - though much preferred the Italian side) and very lovely hospitable restaurants, bars and ski personnel - but - no ones fault - Cervinia has always been prone to high winds which can close the higher lifts (happened to us on three days out of six during Feb half term)
