We really enjoyed our week in cavtat - after a week exploring Montenegro and islands off coast of Dubrovnik. The apartment was very well presented and equipped - very comfortable beds.Lovely and cool despite hot weather. We also appreciated mid week clean. Owner very helpful and all communications etc excellent. It was a 15 minute walk down hill to cavtat but that was fine with us. We enjoyed drinks at bar Jure up the hill. Enjoyed 2 trips into Dubrovnik one by boat and one by taxi. Sunset from top of gondola was lovely. Loved the swimming from pine walk round peninsula- sea was gorgeous.

The apartment was very well presented in a quiet area of Cavtat with stunning partial views of the bay and sunsets. It was very clean and furnished to a high standard with super comfy beds. There is also a dedicated parking space with the apartment. If you've hired a car, a good tip would be to ask the host, Luksa, to Whatsapp a video of the driving directions as it makes it a lot easier to navigate when you arrive. Having your own private pool proved very popular, as did the large charcoal BBQ and outside dining area. It was about a 15 mins downhill walk to the main waterfront with the restaurants & bars. It's a nice chilled vibe in Cavtat with plenty of good quality food available. There are always plenty of taxis on hand should the uphill journey prove too much! The host, Luksa was extremely helpful and when we had a couple of minor housekeeping issues, he immediately dealt with them and couldn't do enough for us. A mid week clean and towel change was a very nice touch. If you're planning on visiting Dubrovnik from Cavtat, it's worth getting a ferry which takes 45 minutes and drops you right in the old town, thus avoiding the difficult expensive car parking and crowded buses. We also visited the island of Lokrum, just off Dubrovnik, which was well worth it; it was tranquil, traffic free and we had a great time snorkelling off the rocks with lots of underwater wildlife to see. All in all it was great stay with a host to match.

An attractive ground floor apartment with a refreshing pool. The beds were very comfortable, the Sofa bed and large double bed in second bedroom worked well for teens. Partial view over the bay (stunning sunsets), some building work was happening near by which the owner obviously has no control over. The centre of Cavtat is 15 mins walk away down the steep hill - it’s a very attractive resort - it takes a bit longer to walk up the hill home!! The apartment’s location is down a steep in parts narrow road which takes a bit of getting used to but a parking space is provided adjacent to the property. The owner was responsive and extremely helpful, the apartment was cleaned mid week which was a nice surprise. We took a boat transfer to Dubrovnik for one day which was great, it’s also well worth hiring a little boat for 1/2 day to explore the bay which was great fun. Amazing space! We are a family of 4 (kids 17 and 19). The apartment is so clean and is maintained twice a week with a change of all bedding, towels and cleaning. The space is amazing inside and out. The pool was for our use only and the seating was perfect as there ae lots of shady parts on the patio. Cavtat is great for families and is about 10-20 mins walk depending on where you choose to eat. A great selection of restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes. We got used to the walk as we didn't want to drive. Large hill coming home but we were certainly fitter at the end of the holiday. There are a good selection of shops in Cavtat where you can buy food and gifts. Luksa was so helpful suggesting places to visit, arranging the cleaning to suit us and solving any issues that arose. He was there to greet us and show us around. We hired a car for most of our holiday and I'd say it's essential if you want to see the wider area and also do a full food shop. Croatia is simply stunning and we'll definitely return to explore the country further.

We chose to stay in the small resort town of Cavtat and it's the best decision, we had all the convenience and the peaceful and stress free atmosphere, really the best of both worlds. The house has two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms, a yard with flowers, grape vine and your own pool! Everything is spotless. It's 10 mins walk or 5 mins drive down to the beach, 10 mins drive to Cavtat marina and 25 mins drive to Dubrovnik. We could easily spend the day on the beach (food and bar all close by, super convenient) and then go home to take a nap before hitting Dubrovnik for dinners and a concert. Luksa is the best host, he made all the recommendations that we needed, checked in with us daily to make sure we are happy, respected our privacy...good news is he's building two more houses and we can't wait to go back! Thank you again for hosting us!

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour à Cavtat. L’appartement a répondu à toutes nos attentes et on s’y sent comme à la maison. La décoration a été faite avec beaucoup d’attention et on y retrouve un confort de haut niveau. La literie est excellente et les deux salles de bains sont spacieuses et bien équipées avec une grande quantité de serviettes. Un luxe que nous ne connaissions pas jusqu’à maintenant: le ménage en plus du changement de serviettes et draps à tous les 3/4 jours était inclus. Notez que l’équipement de base est aussi très généreux (produit pour le lave-vaisselle et le lave-linge inclus). L’environnement extérieur est aussi fantastique : la piscine avec son éclairage télécommandé et sa terrasse compète l’appartement de façon magistrale. Au moment de notre séjour les deux autres appartements des étages supérieurs, qui n’ont pas accès à la piscine, étaient vides. Luksa est très attentif et réactif. Les plages et les restaurants sont à distance de marche. De petits magasins d'alimentation où l'on trouve tous les produits de base se trouvent dans le centre (Pemo, Konzum). Attention cependant l’appartement est situé en hauteur et le reste en bas au niveau de la mer. Alors que la descente ne pose aucun problème la montée peut s’avérer assez exigeante pour le cardio. Si vous préférer le service Uber qui fonctionne très bien dans la région vous facilitera la vie à peu de frais. En temps normal (hors Covid) un service de bateau relie Cavtat à Dubrovnik plusieurs fois par jour. Si vous voulez découvrir Dubrovnik sans y habiter, Cavtat est une belle alternative à cinq minutes de l’aéroport !
