We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The house had everything we needed, including beach chairs/wagon. The yard was perfect for our dogs, and we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves. We could also hear the ocean waves at night. The one thing I failed to consider was the amount of stairs which were a challenge for our older dog. Just something to keep in mind if anyone in your party might have difficulty. Otherwise, everything was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.

This was my 2nd stay here. I love the location. Easy to walk to the beach with dogs without having to cross a road. Large fenced in yards. Owners are friendly & responsive. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Prime location between EI & AB. In the middle of it all. Perfect for dogs as there is a large fenced yard. Plenty of space in home fair family & multiple dogs.

The best beach house experience
We’ve come to visit family for the last 9 years running. As our families have grown a beach rental has been our best option to get everyone in one location for the week. This was begat the best location and rental we’ve had in the previous 9 years! We just loved it and can hopefully rent it again next June.

Perfect getaway
We planned this trip as a baby moon and couldn’t have asked for a better house or location. It’s just a 3 minute walk to the beach and convenient to both Emerald Isle and Morehead City/Beaufort. The property owners were quick to respond and very helpful. We hope to return soon!

Cannot wait to come back & stay again! Loved the fenced in areas for the dogs. Everything was as stated. Easy walk to the beach. Home was clean & comfortable. This is the first home I have stayed in that I would come back to again & again!

Wonderful, relaxing stay!
The house was clean, the kitchen well stocked, and plenty of space. Quick, convenient walk to the beach. Overall, a cute, cozy house. The only suggestion I have about the property is to police the yard between guests for dog droppings and residual trash from prior guests. That being said, I would still stay here again, we had a great time!

Lovely off season location
We had a lovely few days here during a cold spell in March. The beach was windy and deserted - perfect for walking a happy dog up and down - and while it wasn't warm enough to spend any time sitting out there, the house turned out to be perfect for sitting: we spent many hours outside in the sun on the (many) different decks, reading or just watching the birds. It's a lovely location, any time of year.

Nice cottage for a great price
The cottage was immaculate, the kitchen well-stocked, the beach was close and the neighborhood was quiet. Very dog-friendly too, with a fenced-in yard. Within walking distance to one of the best shrimp burger joints at the beach as well. Would definitely rent again.

Outstanding Location for Beach and Restaurant Access
The house itself is great. All of the appliances are new and up to date. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is amazing. It’s kind of a secluded road with direct access to the beach. It’s a 2 minute walk to Big Oak or Crab Shack. The beach area you come out to is one of the least crowded places on the island.

Lots of Decks
Clean property, lots of outdoor space but no much of a view. Host was super and easy to deal with when we had an issue. Also very responsive. Wish there was a king bed for Master. Kinda longish walk to the beach. overall good spot.

Awesome place to stay!
This house/property was amazing. Plenty of room, 2 refrigerators, outside dining area, grill, area to hang our hammocks, huge kitchen, washing machine and dryer, friendly neighbors and 2 fenced in yards! PLUS a short walk to the beach - where there is not a lot of people. Definitely a hidden treasure!

Great house
We gathered here for a long weekend. We walked everywhere. Restaurants and all necessities were close by. House was fresh and clean. It didn't have much of a view but everything else makes up for that! We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable!

The Best Place To Stay in Salter Path
We had a wonderful vacation with the family and our dog. House was very clean and spacious. Quiet friendly neighborhood. Short walk to the beach which we had pretty much to ourselves. Two separate fenced in areas where the dog could run (one side of the yard has 8 trees so there was plenty of shade) Two car garage, grill, extra fridge and outside eating area were excellent. Lots of room on the decks to hang out. Walking distance to the Crab Shack, Anchor Drafthoouse and Pizzeria, Fresh Seafood Market and Ice Cream Shop as well as Dollar General.
Looking forward to coming back next summer.

A Perfect Get Away
We can't say enough about this property! It's located on a quiet street, the house is clean and perfectly appointed, and the check-in/ check-out process is easy. We will definitely be coming again and again. The beach is a short walk, and because of the house's location, the beach is quiet and relaxing.

Awesome spot for a family
We had our first whole family gathering in years and decided to pull this together for our 50th. The place fit us just right. Dave H. was super helpful and flexible. We had no issues and our family, ages 6 to 73 all had a blast. Thank you so much...!!! 😁

Great location. Lovely facility. Every thing we needed was available. Didn’t see the checkout email until after we left, wish it had been sent the evening before. Sorry we left all the sheets on the beds.

Will consider staying here again
We enjoyed a relaxing long weekend in early January. The weather wasn't compliant but we still managed to get some walks on the beach. The beach access was a short walk and the home was perfect for our family. The owner was very responsive and extremely easy to work with. Next time we are in the area, we will hope that this property is available so we can stay again!

Thanksgiving Get-away
We were blessed with a surprise visit by family for Thanksgiving. This home was the perfect fit. The host was more than accommodating for our family celebration. We were able to plan and host our traditional dinner without a hitch! The home was recently renovated and furnished with all new furniture and appliances. We fit perfectly with 5 adults and 3 children.
The highlight of the stay was the little secret trail to the beach! The home is tucked into a quaint little neighborhood with a couple restaurants within walking distance. Anything else you may need is only a 10-15 minute drive away.
The stay was wonderful and we are looking forward to planning a summer adventure at this home.

Outer Banks Gem
Great location for a family fall getaway. Spacious house, recently remodeled, with all the amenities of home. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with ample off-street parking. Quiet, safe street just steps from the beautiful Emerald Island beach and easily accessible to the attractions of Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, even Harkers Island and Cape Lookout. Owner is pleasant and available, but we had no issues. Would be thrilled to return in the future.
