This was our 38th visit to Kiawah. If you’re looking for one of the best views on the island and one of the nicest outdoor areas, this house is for you. If you’re looking for an updated house with a great kitchen, this wouldn’t be the best choice. The weather was perfect our entire 9 day stay and it was one of our best vacations ever!

I have rented this home 4 times in late summer. The porch off the kitchen is the reason I keep coming back. Dinners on the large table looking over the ocean are our favorite tradition. Updates to some bathrooms, the pool and driveway are much appreciated and look great. However this year too many important things were not working. Elevator was not usable and in this house with kitchen 2 tall floors up, made lugging groceries very hard. Several chairs around the dining table outside were broken or missing. 2 burners were out on the range and the vent has not worked for 2 years. I hope this year will see some attention to appliances and some love to the outside living spaces. That said, this house is still my favorite. It has a large common space, great outdoor space, very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms without the ridiculously large ostentatious bathrooms that Kiawah homes seem to love. We cook a lot and find the kitchen space convenient (when the appliances work). I love the small kitchen downstairs for overflow. And the spice cabinet is well stocked. The location is ideal if you enjoy quieter parts of Kiawah. Beach is 1/4 mile walk through the golf course and we regularly see alligators and deer.

This is a spectacular location in a less densely populated area of the island. The views from the second floor are amazing. Starting and ending the day there was my favorite. Bike riding on the beach as a family was incredible. And of course that doesn’t even touch on world class golf!

Views are stunning. Property is beautiful and very clean, but needs some love. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfy and each has a private bath. HOWEVER, property states that it is wheelchair friendly with an elevator…a useless, broken elevator. My 65 yo husband had to carry our disabled 33yo quadriplegic daughter up the steep front stairs. She was only able to access the first level. No wheelchair accessible bath on that level either. We had to shower her OUTSIDE using the pool shower. She wasn’t able to access the main level for meals in the dining room with the rest of the family. ESPM did offer another house, but we were already settled into this one. The thought of moving was overwhelming. Because of the elevator issue, we only took her out once during the week. Spa was also broken. Spent the first three days texting and speaking with ESPM. Spa was finally fixed. For $18,000, things should have been operating properly. Won’t be returning or renting from this company again.

The house is just what it looked like in the pictures - beautiful. The views were amazing. We brought our grown children, parents and a new baby. It was just the right amount of bedrooms all with attached bathrooms. We entertained some friends from the area and had plenty of room for extra guests for dinner. If we come back with this number of people again we'd love to rent the property again.

We had a great time at Kiawah ... house looks out over #12 green and #13 tee box of the Ocean Course with #15 fairway and ocean view in the distance ... simply a beautiful view ... home is dated ... no stereo system (at least for guests) pool tile is crumbling and elevator system not working (which is important when the main living area is on the second floor) ... we regularly visit Kiawah and while the home is wonderfully located within easy walk to the beach and excellent biking .. the house needs some love

The house is amazing, a stately mansion tucked back near the Ocean Course, which you can see from the elevated back porch. The five bedrooms are large and there are plenty of bathrooms as well. The kitchen is spacious and we ate our dinners at the outside table, which was fine for our party of seven.
The beach is a ten minute walk through the Ocean Course. The pool is nice, though it costs extra to heat it (with a four day minimum). You will need to rent beach items (chairs, umbrellas, etc) as well as bikes if you want to ride through the neighborhood or on the beach.
My only complaints are minor, and I wouldn’t say anything except it costs a lot to rent this house. The appliances, particularly the fridge and ice maker in the freezer didn’t work well. The fridge leaked and the ice maker hardly made ice. With no ice trays and the nearest store a 45minute round trip, it’s an annoyance. There are loose tiles around the pool that could cause a danger if you’re not careful.
Overall, if you are looking for a large house in a beautiful setting that is out of the way, you’d be hard pressed to find something better.

What a fabulous week on Kiawah at 15 Ocean Course! The views are spectacular! The golf course, ocean, deer, pelicans all topped off with a nearly constant ocean breeze. The outdoor dining table was perfect for nightly family dinners and great soft seating for coffer in the morning and wine in the evening. Although outdated and a bit awkward the kitchen is large and well-stocked, we were not missing anything. We had a few minor requests while we were there and the management team went above and beyond! The pictures were very accurate. Probably our best rental in 15 years. Did I mention the views?!
