This spot on the lake was excellent - quiet cove, close to nice boating water, and not too far from highway/grocery. The stairs and dock setup were fabulous. Nicest stairs of any Norris property I've been to in the 8 years we've been going. The house was well equipped and big enough for our group. However, we found the single bath on the main floor to be just not enough for the 4 adults sharing it, just personal preference. The kid space downstairs was excellent for sleeping, playing, watching TV, etc. The only downfall on the property in my opinion was the outdoor space. The large table was on the lower deck right outside the kid's room. This wasn't ideal for groups with small kids who get to bed earlier. The owner was responsive and friendly. Overall, great experience and yet another amazing vacation on beautiful Norris Lake!

The home is beautiful with an incredible location. Our group had a great time and the house was a major part of it. Cindy is the best host I’ve worked with, great recommendations and communication. We highly recommend and hope to come back!

This property is very nice and on a quiet cove which makes it great to swim in lake. There is a marina just a 5 min boat ride away that will drop off your boat rental right to dock, which was very convenient. All the stairs from house to dock can make it challenging and a chore if you forget something and very slippery when caught in rainy weather. Three recommendations to the owners: 1) the path from stairway to house, which are pavers in the ground on the hillside...are dangerous when wet. Maybe a concrete sidewalk would be better. 2) the baby gate at house does not fit the opening at top of stairs, would recommend finding one that does. We had a toddler with us and had to improvise to block the stairway. 3) the new lights installed in master bathroom above sink are not high enough for average height people. Both my husband and I are 5'9" and 5'8" respectively and had to duck to see in the mirror. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and hope to be back.

We had a great first trip to Norris! We loved this home and the location. Our boys (17, 15 and 13) loved the jumping rocks just outside the quiet cove. We rented a jet ski for 2 days from twin cove Marina and the pick up and drop off was very easy. (We also rented a boat but we waited too long and had to drive pretty far to get it and the return process wasn’t as easy as if we had rented from a close marina). I’d recommend renting a boat from mountain lake or twin cove but make sure to do it early. The driveway at this home took some time to get used to as it is steep but it was no where near as steep and long as some of the others we saw in the area. We preferred going down the gravel side and up the paved side if that’s helpful. 😂. My 3 boys and I were also able to join a local gym (for 1 week) to go to in the mornings. It was only 15 minutes away and the price was very reasonable. (Top Fitness). The owner’s recommended El Charro (Mexican) for us to try for dinner and our whole family loved it! We left a menu in the information booklet at the house. Thanks for a great week!!

This was our second time staying at this house and we can't wait to go back. The whole week was dreamy, many great memories, the lake is amazing, and this house is perfect, it has everything you need and way more! Thank you!!

The pictures listed do not give this home any justice. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Very spacious, comfortable and inviting . None of us wanted to leave. Joe and Cindy were very nice and their communication along with recommendations for family outings, activities and food was great! I hope to visit this beautiful location soon.

We were literally pulling our of our driveway (boat in tow) when the owner of our OTHER rental called to let us know they had a water line break and the rental was flooded. We got online and reached out to the owners of "Hiwassee Hideaway" and they responded immediately . They got their cleaning crew into the house and we were able to check-in that evening. They were so kind, considerate and accommodating! The house was fantastic and the location is perfect. We can't say enough great things about them and the house!

The house was lovely, and convenient to Mountain Lake marina. Well kept dock on quiet cove. Just perfect for my family to enjoy the long weekend. House was nicely decorated and furnished. The owners clearly take pride in their home. My only suggestion is two of the toilets were really small, so not the best for tall/larger folks.

The home was clean, nice, and as described. We were very satisfied and the kayaks were a nice extra. Would rent again!

We did get a lot of rain, covered back deck would be the only thing I would recommend. Over all great experience!

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and unwind, look no further! My family loved hanging out for a week here in the privacy of this beautiful cove. We spent a lot of time floating in the crystal clear water at the dock. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboat, firepit, and the dock for fishing, We also rented a boat from Mountain Lake Marina which is right across the lake from here. They even delivered the boat right to our dock. Very convenient. The home is well stocked and provided everything we needed in addition to an amazing view! The check in process and communication with the owner was great.

This house far exceeded any expectations we had. It was immaculate inside & out. Complete with all the amenities and comforts of home we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked. Bedrooms were spacious. Gorgeous views of the lake. Dock was very clean and loved that we had use of the kayaks. There were12 people in our group and it had plenty of space. The owners provided great check in instructions and were in contact from day one making sure we had everything we needed. Our first time to Norris Lake and this house provided an amazing experience. This was our first time visiting Norris Lake and we really enjoyed it. This rental is in a great location, it is in a private large cove but very close to a marina and the jumping rock (which we visited every day). Very easy check in process and communication from the owners was top notch!

I had a wonderful time relaxing and kayaking on the lake. The host was very gracious and everything was perfect.

2nd consecutive year at Norris during fall break. House is great-nice and clean and well appointed. My family got a lot of use out of the kayaks supplied by the renters, which is a really nice amenity. The only thing that caught me off guard was the driveway. Wow, very intimidating the first couple of time you go up and down. If your vehicle has a low ground clearance you will likely bottom out. We scraped, but no permanent damage. Just take it slow. Overall, I give 4 stars! 5 stars if they do some work on the driveway!

Beautiful property, very clean and accommodating home with enough room for 4-6 adults. 20 minutes from town and very peaceful seating on the lake with great fire pit overlooking the water. Highly recommend

This was our first visit to Norris Lake, and it certainly did not disappoint! Beautiful house, with a spectacular view of the lake! Our party consisted of 4 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. We cooked in or used the grill every day, as the kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The house was impeccably clean, modern, open and airy. The dock was amazing also. We rented a boat off of Vrbo and had an amazing time exploring the lake. It was nice to be able to put the boat under the covered dock at the end of the day. It’s also important to note that the dock at this property stays floating even after the water levels get dropped in September. Being on a quiet and peaceful cove made for excellent swimming right off of the dock. The water was absolutely gorgeous, clean and clear…so much fun to swim in. It was such a wonderful and relaxing time, and we all agreed that we would absolutely go back! Check-in process was very easy, and Cindy the property owner was great to work with!

This property was gorgeous and had plenty of room for our group of 11! The covered dock was amazing and we were able to keep 2 boats there easy. A few of us enjoyed taking the kayaks out one morning. The cove was a great, private location…..would definitely stay here again. The owners were wonderful and touched base with me along the way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend this place!!!

There were 2 couples on this trip. The house was comfortable and clean and had great views. We rented a pontoon which we used every day. It was so worth it. We went to a different marina every day for lunch. The lake is huge with so much to see. If you want to unwind and relax, look no further. Hiwassee Hideaway is the place to be.

We just returned home from a week at this lovely property. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located to town, several marinas, fishing spots, and a fun swimming area with a cliff for jumping. The property owners were great to communicate with and made sure we had all necessary information. We hope to go back again next year!

It we everything we expected and more!

Rented Hiawasee Hideaway early June 2021. We had 4 adults and 5 children. Plenty of room for all of us. The basement area with the bunk beds and futon were perfect place for the kids to hangout and sleep. Place was clean when we arrived. Beds were comfortable. Boathouse and pier area were perfect for the wakeboard boat and fishing with the kids. We had internet first couple of days but than no service remainder of week which was fine to just unplug and getaway for a vacation. Would highly recommend this place. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Overall a great experience and wonderful place for a vacation getaway! Easy check-in and check-out process, clean and spacious house and awesome dock! House was located on a quiet cove great for swimming, floating and hanging out but also convenient with the Marina and jumping rock right around the corner! Owners were great with communication and always available to answer any and all questions. Would recommend to others!

We had such a wonderful family experience this last week. Enough room to be comfortable, yet also enough to be cozy or singular as well. Terrific cove for fun times and right by the jumping rock for some excitement. It is a beautiful home and all the amenities to help to make it a perfect trip!

This home was perfect for our family getaway. Very clean home, had everything we needed, the cove the home sits in is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed just relaxing on the dock many days. Great location on the lake. The host is very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this home to anyone. We plan to stay here again soon!

My friends stayed at this property and had an excellent time! The spacious grand room overlooked the lake and dock. Kitchen fully supplied any cooking instruments that you would need, like at your own home. Bathrooms looked to be newly renovated and beds were extremely comfortable. Kids bedroom/play room was especially nice (4 beds was plenty)! Fishing dock available with comfortable chairs, to enjoy a day on the lake! Can’t say all of us enjoyed the hike back up to the house, but that’s exercise for the day haha! Overall it was a great home to visit and we would certainly come back next time we are at Norriw Lake!
