very clean vacation home on a pretty lake. good amenities including kayaks and paddleboards. located close to many charming Litchfield county towns.

Lovely cottage and neighborhood right on the lake! I think it's time to retire the Pontoon Boat (old). It would be easier to kayak, paddle, and canoe. Especially because the water level of the lake is low.

We couldn't be happier! The house was spotless clean and extremely well equipped, not to mention tastefully furnished. Every detail was very well thought out. Despite close proximity to other houses, the property felt private and very peaceful. The lake was clean enough to swim in (no algae). Larry, the host, was friendly and responsive. We couldn't ask for more!

Truly a great house in a great location. Lots to love about this rental: super clean and bright, good window shades, comfortable beds, well-stocked library, plenty of water toys…the list goes on. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well equipped and lived up to the description the owner provided. Very conveniently located - 10 minutes to many stores and restaurants. We would recommend to anyone who was looking for a place in the area.

Cozy, clean, and comfortable weekend with sunrises across a snowy lake! Groceries and restaurants in nearby Torrington. Will hope to stay again and see all 4 seasons.

My sister and I had a wonderful time on Harwinton Lake. The house was amazing! Everything you would need and more. Their home was beautifully decorated and the furniture and beds were super comfy. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the back deck was breathtaking! The trip is a week we will always remember.

The house was extremely clean and well stocked with towels and everything you will need. The communication with the owner was excellent

We stayed at this property for five days in mid July. The house is wonderful, with its open floorplan and beautiful wall of windows that allows for a picturesque view of the lake. The lake does not allow motorized boats, other than those which cause minimal wake and noise, like pontoon boats, so it is incredibly quiet and relaxing. The surrounding towns provide for many excellent dining out experiences (try the Edison Grill, three miles away!), mini golf and shopping. The owner was incredibly accommodating and quickly responded to us if we had any questions or concerns. The property also has many amenities which enhance your stay. There are kayaks and paddle boards, life vests, beach towels, washing machine and dryer...it really is a home away from home. The beach adjacent to the property was wonderful, as were the other two beaches on the lake. The water was warm and pretty clean. The residents of the neighborhood were also super friendly. The only negative I can think of is that the internet connection was somewhat problematic each day, which is no fault of the owner, it's likely an issue in the entire area. We had to restart the router each day. It wasn't a huge issue for us because really, you're not at a lake house for the internet...ha! But, I mention it for those who may be doing a working vacation and would need a consistent, reliable internet. All in all, a fabulous property, great owners, and terrific location. We definitely would go back and we highly recommend this property as a vacation destination.

Nicely updated house in a lovely lake setting. We enjoyed the fire pit by the lake and the smores the owners provided. The game cabinet came in handy on a rainy day. Lawrence was very helpful, and even sent back some items we had forgotten.

Ice Skating, Fat Tire Bicycle, Snow....all stepst away from this great house on this small and magnificent lake.

We spent almost two weeks at the property and had a great time! Larry was a great host!

This cottage was beautiful and well equipped. However the upstairs bedroom stairs were very steep and challenging esp having to go downstairs to the bathroom. Very convenient having beach directly next door but water was not good for swimming. Lots of geese in the area as well very noisy and messy

This is a beautiful home and property on Harwinton Lake. The modern kitchen and dining room overlook the lake with picture windows, and a full balcony extends across the back of the house. We enjoyed sitting at the dining room table watching the changing scenery of the lake and waterfowl. The two comfortable bedrooms are upstairs with the large bathroom on the first floor. There are small steep stairs to the upstairs bedroom, so this is not a property for people with mobility issues. It is perfect for a couple or small family that is looking for a special place to stay in an area where there are few rental options.
