My family and I took a last-minute trip to Lake Wautuga. We were fortunate enough to find Casa Lago available. Jeremy was very responsive, starting with answering a couple questions when booking all the way through our checkout. Multiple times we told ourselves how great it was that Jeremy really thought of all the small things, from a lemon/lime squeezer and first aid kit, to air mattresses and extra sets of linens. The dock was great for our boat and we enjoyed the water toys available to us. Highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful, and very quiet, place on the lake.

Clean and easy access to house. Private location overlooking the road. Kayaks and canoe were nice to check out the lake.

Perfect spot for our family gathering. Clean and comfortable! Kitchen is well furnished with everything you will need. The ping pong table was a hit! The dining table great for family games and cards. We had nice weather and we’re able to enjoy the boat. The host is quick to reply to questions! Wonderful and relaxing!

We enjoyed this cute house and peaceful location. It was a great spot for hiking and kayaking when it’s warmer. The house was perfect for our family of 6!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Well maintained property, secluded enough for privacy but accessible to plenty of activities. Owner provided everything needed from beach towels and linens to everything needed in the kitchen and then some. I highly recommend and plan to come again when we return to the area. Thanks Jeremy for providing a great home away from home for my family and I on our vacation.

We all enjoyed our stay and the water toys were a huge bonus between fishing and kayaking and learning how to paddle board the views the home was absolutely stunning. We didn't want to leave. The owners we're so very nice and understanding

The place was beautiful and so clean! We used the fire pit, canoe, kayak, paddle board and definitely enjoyed the ping pong table! I loved the great room! It was perfect for having everyone together. The boys went to The Bristol Motor Speedway (50 minutes) while the ladies shopped and ate in Boone, NC (30 minutes). The owner did not hesitate to thing of everything a guest would need during your stay. Would love to stay here again! The entire family enjoyed it!

Great, clean cabin on the lake. Sadly it was too cold to get in the water with the kayaks and paddleboards but we had a great time hanging out and checking out everything the area has to offer.

The house was very clean and provided everything we could have ever needed. The owner was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Lago! We spent the mornings hiking and then the afternoons out on the water. We brought a boat and were able to dock it right at the house, however, for those who don't bring anything, there are still options to rent a boat or use the kayak, rowboat, etc. left by the owner. We took those out some days too. Afraid you're missing too many gym days while on vacation? The stairs to and from the dock are great for your daily workout, so no need to pack anything with you. We also hiked the AT and hit some state parks in both TN and NC. There is no shortage of outdoor activities within an hours drive of Casa Lago. Lastly, the place itself was great. It's probably one of the cleanest VRBOs we have stayed at over the years. The beds were comfortable after a long day of outdoor activities, the TV is equipped with all the channels you need, and the kitchen made it so easy for us to cook in that we felt right at home! While we cannot review any of the restaurants around, we found the grocery stores convenient and well-stocked, especially if you head into Boone. The owner was quick to respond to any texts we had with questions or concerns. The only "issue" we had was with the Wi-Fi at first, however, once the owner's dad came and reset it, we had much better success using it. This was important for us as our phones did not have service in this area of the lake (in other areas it worked fine) and our son was taking a summer college course which required him to have internet access. We appreciated the owners communication and finding a resolution! Overall, we highly recommend Casa Lago to anyone looking for a place to stay on Watauga Lake!!

My family andI I had a wonderful week at Casa Lago. The cabin was very clean upon arrival. Even though we were in the woods and mountains, the inside of the cabin was not buggy at all. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. It was a short walk down to the lake where we all enjoyed the kayaks, fishing and swimming in the lake. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, unplugged week at the lake!

We had a great time visiting the area and enjoyed coming back to the house and relaxing outside by the fire!

Cabin was tidy and clean. Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

Location, location and a boat dock! Oh, and the cabin is fabulous! It has everything but your groceries and fishing bait. The WiFi was enough to support two people working on phones and zoom with Netflix on in the background simultaneously.

Casa Lago was perfectly situated with a lake view and very private. The kitchen was stocked and the cabin was very clean. Our kids loved the ping pong table and we enjoyed the lake access and water toys available. We would love to stay here again! Thank you!

We had such a great stay at Casa Lago! The owners truly have thought of everything you need for your stay. The location was so quiet and quaint. We spent our days fishing off the dock and our evenings around the firepit. It was so relaxing and just what we needed. Our only regret was that we didn't plan our stay for a few more days. If given the opportunity to go back, we would in a heartbeat. We highly recommend this cabin for a getaway!

The rental process was very easy. The owner corresponded immediately with helpful links of beautiful hiking spots, was very attentive and most importantly made us feel at home.

Casa Lago was a fantastic getaway spot. Mitch was a very accessible property owner for general questions, and the cabin had everything we needed and then some. Quiet, peaceful with beautiful views. We absolutely loved it and will be telling all our friends. Also see our buddy Tanner at Fish Springs Marina if you want to rent a pontoon boat for the day. Just a short drive from the cabin.

Our family of 6 had a great vacation as Casa Lago! The kids loved trying out all the water equipment and swimming or fishing when not paddling. We were down at the dock every day! The house really fit us well and everyone was happy to have a comfortable place to sleep and hang out. The well-stocked kitchen meant we could eat most of our meals at the house which was more convenient and economical for us than having to eat out. Everything was in perfect working order in the house. We also made good use of the ping pong table and huge variety of DVDs. We brought our telescope and enjoyed some beautiful nights by the campfire, eating s'mores and looking at Jupiter and Saturn. We had enough to keep us happy right on the property but did venture out to the State Line drive-in, Laurel Creek Falls, Dry Hill General store (such friendly people there!) and also rented a pontoon boat for a day. The perfect mix of relaxation and adventure!! The lake is clean and quiet and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. Some of the best views were right at the top of the mountain behind Casa Lago! Thanks for a fabulous family vacation - it was a great finale to our summer.
