This home was perfect for our group of 8. The home is nicely decorated with comfortable furnishing. The layout of the bedrooms gave everyone privacy. The on call shuttle service made it easy to get to and from the ski resort.

We had a great time here and were able to easily access both Palisades resorts to ski. The house was very comfortable for our family of five and I especially liked the radiant heating as I hadn't experienced that before. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked perfectly.

The home is gorgeous and set in a stunning backdrop. It is perfectly appointed with beautiful furnishings, awesome bedding, decadent bathrooms and many more amenities. We were with dear friends and enjoyed our evenings in the living room near the fireplace. The kitchen is gourmet. Wendy was responsive and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this home.

This is new construction home, lovely and modern, with a 5 minute drive to Squaw Valley. A few minor issues were resolved quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

When we rented this home, we wanted to find a place that was modern, close to the mountains and has a great Internet connection to spend our Thanksgiving enjoying what little time we had off with our close friends and family. Our primary intentions were to develop a relationship with Wendy and find a location in Tahoe that we could rent multiple times within a ski season. Everything seemed perfect, but when you got down to it we felt like we couldn’t relax or enjoy ourselves because of the owner’s approach to renting and communication. In addition, after confirming the booking, the owner requires renters to sign “multiple legal addendums” outside the VRBO ecosystem that included a highly rigid “house rules” addendum covering [WE SHOULD GIVE EXAMPLES HERE]Here are the specific challenges with the rental experience and the house:Internet connection was ok, but not as strong or pervasive as we were led to believe.The period leading up to the beginning of our stay was made quite stressful because of the absolute amount of communication the owner required to get herself comfortable with a tenant staying at the home (including signing multiple additional agreements beyond the rental agreement). Don’t rent this property if you aren’t prepared to deal with that stress and back-and-forth.Although lovely, the house is not practical for more than one family. Sound traveled extensively between rooms, floors and across the house, more so than one would expect for a house of this presumed quality, given the luxury rental premium. The acoustics of the design amplified the noise from the great room and the kitchen into the upstairs bedroom. Conversation and noise in the Master bath and closet could be heard clearly in another bedroom. For a relatively large 4-bedroom place, there was little privacy given the sound. Definitely bring your earplugs if you are planning to stay here. Although advertised in the listing as working, the gas fireplace was not operational during our stay. No offer was made to fix this or provide partial refund relating to thisHouse rules are very strict and specific, which is fine except when the rules seem designed to earn the owner extra money in fees. We just enjoyed a weekend Tahoe getaway at this newly built, gorgeous house. It made such a great time and space for our 2 families to enjoy. With 2 king bedrooms and 2 queen bedrooms, there was plenty of clean/open spaces that allowed us all to sleep, relax And hang out all together in this home very comfortably. The furniture and overall design throughout this home is stunning and so well put together. Every detail is thoughtful and well planned. It is living in grand style while on our mountain vacation. The homeowner was great to work with and so welcoming. She provided quick responses and was very communicative and available to us as needed. She had a very easy and professional process set up for check in/check out which made everything smooth and easy. She was very helpful with several recommendations of what to do and enjoy nearby which we loved and appreciated all of her inside information so we could enjoy the best of the area more fully. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and high quality. The kitchen is loaded with new, high end appliances and large counter top spaces and is open to a large great room and dining room with a lot of nice seating making it a fun place to gather altogether in the evening to eat, play games, watch movies with plenty of room for everyone to comfortably enjoy time together. This location right in the heart of Squaw Valley resort is a great place to be in the summer with so many mountain and lake activities nearby. We rode our bikes from the house up to the resort and along the bike path that runs all the way down the river, and it was an easy and beautiful ride for the whole family. This path even goes all the way down to Tahoe City and Commons beach where there is so much to do and enjoy in that area. Or drive the other direction into The charming town of Truckee for great restaurants and other nearby activities. We would love to come back during ski season as the close proximity to some of the best resorts would be wonderful as well. We spent 10 days in this beautiful home surrounded by trees and a direct view of Painted Rock, a rock formation at the entrance of Squaw Valley. The house is very clean and organized and has everything you need for a family vacation. The neighborhood is perfect for kids to ride bikes, take family walks, or join the Squaw Valley multi-use trail. From the house, you can bike into Tahoe City along the Truckee or into the Village. I would definitely stay here again in the summer or in the winter for close access to Squaw and Alpine. The owner is very responsive and quickly respond to texts. Due to covid, we were essentially SIP and found it easy to have groceries delivered via Instacart or do curbside with New Moon Natural Foods in Tahoe City (great produce and meats).

This house is exceptional inside and out with a great kitchen, living room, great bedrooms/baths and a beautiful view. It looks like brand new construction, but felt homey and was well-decorated. So what are the drawbacks? The automation and surveillance. We left the lights on in the garage when we went out for an early morning ski and the management company called us on the slopes to ask if we could turn them off. Um... if they have sensors that tell them the lights are on, you’d think they could also turn them off. No big deal though right? But the same thing happened with thermostat - every time we would turn it up, it would be overridden and turned back down. It was impossible to keep the radiant floors warm in the bathroom either due to Nest controller or their master sensors which were obviously monitored. So while I’m all for energy efficiency, it felt very Orwellian with all the external monitoring and manipulation. Other than that, it’s a lovely home. Strangely they didn’t have a toaster or strainer so bring your own.

This home had everything i was looking for: proximity to the slopes, beautiful, clean, new rooms and furniture, and a gorgeous kitchen. It's the perfect home for entertaining or simply relaxing in front of the fireplace after a day of fun outdoors. I can't wait to go back.

This home is a dream come true. It is beautiful, elegant, stylish and clean but still relaxed and comfortable. It is 5 mins from mountain, and the owner is delightful and is attentive to detail, I couldn’t have asked for anything more from my stay. The views are wonderfully serene and peaceful. I curled up on the couch in the morning with my coffee and looked out across snowy fields, treetops and mountains. The radiant floor heating and sleek gas-powered fireplace make the home cozy and inviting. The bedrooms are nice and quiet and the beds are very comfortable and soft. If you like to cook you will be very happy with this kitchen; it has a great layout, appliances, and a big island for serving. Everything in this home has been done beautifully and it was a delight to be a guest here. In addition to the fabulous home, the location can’t be beat. The home is situated in a quaint neighborhood setting, surrounded by forests and is a quick drive to Squaw. I highly recommend this property to those who want a luxurious and relaxed vacation in Tahoe. -Amy
