I had a great time staying by the Barn up the Hill. The location is great, away from the town, but still close enough to go shopping, and not to far from the ski areas either. I particularly loved the layout of the kitchen. It has everything and more (like ziplock bags and emergency candles ;) ) and inspired me to try out some new recipes. The rocking chair on the porch looked really inviting, unfortunately the weather was a bit too cold to sit outdoors.

Pleasant and spacious

Loved the outdoor space although I had expected my front door view to be the lake. You have to walk to get this view. Very peaceful and was able to work under the veranda even when the rain was coming down. My pup and I loved the treats provided!

The rental is on a spacious property above Vernon. We enjoyed sitting on the patio furniture in the evenings to watch the sun set and then see the town lights sparkle as the crickets sarenaded us. The evenings are just the perfect temperature (September). The patio has a little heater if needed to take the chill off. The yard is lit up in a quaint way and the flower beds are pretty. The unit is spacious with everything needed to settle in, cook meals and relax. They seemed to have thought of everything we would need! The bath towels are so thick and soft too. The Queen bed is comfortable and the bedroom is a generous size with lots of closet and drawer storage. Paul and Pam were very accommodating and helpful. We very much appreciated that! They are excellent hosts. We would definitely stay here again. As mentioned in other reviews we got cookies to welcome our arrival! After a 6 hour drive that was so nice and made us feel at home! (Sorry Pam... now all your guests are going to expect cookies!) Thanks for everything!!!

A great location with a beautiful view of the valley.

We loved the property and the view, quiet and clean home away from home. Check in and out process was very simple, we will be back again for our yearly trip to Vernon!

Very nice, quiet and well-kept property. Close vicinity to Silverstar Resort for biking and skiing. Owners are responsive and very helpful if anything is needed. Would come back again :)

Lovely setting and peaceful location. Well stocked kitchen. Soft fluffy towels. Comfy bed and Soft good quality bedding Furniture both living room and outdoor patio furniture looked a bit worn but comfy nonetheless. No view of Swann lake as depicted in photos as bushes have grown too tal obscuring the view.

Super friendly hosts and added touches make yor stay feel very much like home!

Restful quiet getaway surrounded by nature's beauty

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful property and a nice distance outside of the hustle of town. Very relaxing. Pam left cookies for me when I arrived and checked in to see if I needed anything. I would stay here again.

It was all wonderful- the property, the area and the weather. Our only wish is that we had another day or two to enjoy it all.

This place is outstanding with impeccable attention to details to make your stay extra special. The owners were always available if needed, but other than that gave complete privacy. The setting is stunning at all times of the day, but the string lights on the trees and leading across to the barn at night are absolutely magical! Thank you Pam and Paul.
